Care Professionals EH $5,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated for part-time
employees) for newly hired social workers, budgeted to work 24
hours per week or more. Department Description: With approximately
100,300 ED visits annually, the CHA Emergency Departments are
fast-paced, constantly changing environments with rapid patient
turnover. Summary: Clinical Social Workers within the Psychiatric
Emergency Service (PES) are vital members of a multidisciplinary
treatment team. The behavioral health clinician works closely with
nurses, physician assistants, and physicians in a fast-paced, high
stress environment, and is under the clinical supervision of the
psychiatrist. The behavioral health clinician completes psychiatric
assessments, provides crisis counseling, and implements treatment
planning for patients in the PES. The behavioral health clinician
identifies appropriate resources and obtains collateral
information, as needed, from patients’ supports including family
members, friends and outpatient providers. The diversity of the
client population served, in addition to the treatment modalities
utilized, requires interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration.
The training responsibilities are assigned by the PES Program
Leader in accordance with the training needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications: - Education/Training: Masters degree in
Social Work - Current MA licensure a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
(LICSW) - Certifications: Must be credentialed by the CHA Medical
Staff for practice in relevant clinical practice areas. - Previous
Experience: Minimum of two years post masters degree experience
with acute psychiatric population strongly preferred. - Physical
Skills: Successful completion of physical agility assessment. In
