Job Description:

The MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure optimal health outcomes. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to provide both medical-surgical and telemetry care to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and individualized nursing care based on patient needs and medical conditions. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, reporting abnormalities promptly. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Document patient care accurately and comply with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning. Maintain infection control and safety protocols. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience required. Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Vaccination Record (Required) Education: Associate---s or Bachelor---s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in New York State. Skills & Competencies: Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and perform effectively in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
