The Office of Research in Psychiatry (OOR) supports research
initiatives conducted by clinical faculty in the Department of
Psychiatry. The OOR assists clinician-researchers in conducting
preliminary studies for grant proposals, and the preparation and
submission of grant proposals and scholarly manuscripts. Working
under the general direction of the Research Director, the
Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for
faculty research projects. May assist in preparation of
manuscripts, and research proposals and reports. Supports seed
grant program.
Description:
- Provides administrative support to the research office,
including scheduling meetings and setting up conference calls;
- Collect pertinent and updated literature for different projects
and publications;
- Assist in graphic, tables and other presentation of research
data;
- Provides support to the office and to faculty in the
development and preparation of grant/contract proposals and
applications and IRB protocols
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reviews for
completeness and adherence to the requirements of the funding
agency and CHA/HMS policies
- Assists in preparing contracts and agreements
- Process seed grant applications
- Coordinate and schedule research office workshops, seminars and
meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with with a minimum of 2 years' relevant work
experience
- Excellent computer skills including experience using Word,
Excel and Google products.
- Good writing, verbal, and communications skills.
- Organizing and completing time sensitive tasks
- Willingness and ability to work in a busy environment with
shifting and competing priorities
- Polite, friendly person able to interact positively with the
members of the department and external partners.
- Efficient organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and also to work
