  Are you experienced developing oncology medical strategies and plans while managing relationships with key opinion leaders?
  
  As Senior Director, Medical Affairs, Oncology you will be responsible for directing the activities of the US Oncology Medical Affairs group for metastatic pancreatic cancer, and for coordination of activities with the Global Medical Affairs. You will oversee all US-based activities including but not limited to oversight of clinical program including Ph IV studies, externally sponsored research studies, posters and publications, medical information, US Disease Area Expert management, product defense and communications, advisory boards, and review and selection of educational and scientific/clinical grants. Additionally, you will participate in the multi-functional leadership group for the Oncology Therapeutic Area which sets and oversees the strategic direction of medical affairs activities in pancreatic cancer in the US and ensures execution of tactical plans.
  
  Your role will involve:
  
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams within Ipsen to provide medical/scientific expertise and marketplace feedback
  • Drive the scientific publication plan in US and design and run clinical studies in conjunction with Medical Affairs Operations group
  • Ensure appropriate scientific, disease and Ipsen product training for the MSL team and other internal partners
  • Review and approval of promotional material
  • Development and supervising the execution of the Oncology thought leader identification process
  • Creation and dissemination of medically sound information to support the safe & effective use of Onivyde (adhering to Regulatory and Ipsen guidelines) in partnership with the Medical Affairs Information Dept and MSL team
  • Offer medical input and manage budgets for clinical grants and medical education support activities in partnership with the Grants Manager
    In return, you will bring:
    
    • MD with 7 years or PhD/PharmD with 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
    • Experience in Oncology required
    • Board eligible or certified Oncologist preferred
    • Experience in presenting and publishing scientific information a plus
    • Knowledge of clinical trial design and biostatistics
