to those benefits. There is major room for improvement in
psychiatry, and drug development in this field has slowed down
notably in the last two decades.

definitions of indications, and going beyond symptomatic drug
efforts and towards disease modification.

psychiatry and lead the profession in new directions.
The Translational Medicine (TM ) Discovery & Profiling (TMDP) group
is a team of physicians and clinical researchers who drive that
innovation science from discovery to the patient through the
selection, profiling and effective development of medicines.
In the role of Neuroscience-Psychiatry TM Expert you will develop
high value decision-strategies for the Translational Medicine
component of drug development projects through the proof-of-concept
Your main accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
--- Lead project teams that develop and implement strategies in
early drug discovery and profiling programs for First-in-Human
safety (phase 1) and clinical Proof of Concept efficacy (phase 2a)
--- Collaborate with preclinical research scientists to identify,
develop, and implement strategy for support of early drug discovery
objectives. This includes assessment of medical need, proposal of
clinical development pathways, and review of preclinical data for
clinical implications, and other relevant activities.
--- Lead project teams that provide investigational brochures (IB)
and other regulatory requirements for health authorities
--- Work closely with biomarker expert to develop and implement
compound related biomarker strategies in implementation.
--- Provide scientific expert assessments and support for
in-licensing opportunities, including due diligences
--- Drive success of late global drug development programs (phase
2b) when appropriate by developing and implementing strategies that
lead to clinical pharmacology, design of mechanistic studies and
profiling packages that meet regulatory requirements and support
differentiated and competitive drug labeling

--- Medical Degree and additional PhD/post-doctoral equivalent
--- Specialized further training (board certification) and / or
clinical research experience in psychiatry preferred
--- Advanced / business-level / fluent English (oral and

your field and created / established new concepts; record of high
quality publications in international scientific journals.
--- Previous relevant & significant clinical study experience:
either from pharma/biotech leading early phase clinical trials; a
senior role within a CRO responsible for leading the medical
relationship with Sponsors; from a relevant academic medical center
with PI & co-PI clinical trial experience. You are used to working
independently and within teams including scientists and
non-scientists on study planning and execution, demonstrating
competence in a broad range of project and more strategic planning
