  • The US Oncology Franchise Head for Lung Cancer leads cross-functional planning and execution for assigned Takeda products within a portfolio (ALUNBRIG, mobocertinib) via the development and implementation of cross-functional strategy and tactical plans. Portfolio products are frequently in different stages of commercialization, from pre-launch planning through product maturity, so strategies will account for both life cycle considerations. as well as changing/competitive market conditions.
  • This role inspires, sets direction, and mobilizes the cross-functional team to define and achieve the strategic objectives of the franchise within the existing and expected future licensed indications.
  • This role leads and manages the brand marketers for their particular franchise and serves as a functional leader in the execution of creative, impactful marketing strategy and initiatives.--
  • The Franchise Head is responsible for setting brand ambition across all functions and working collaboratively to define and implement brand strategies and associated tactics while managing a budget supportive of the brand.
  • This role serves as a key member of the Global Brand Team (GBT) where lifecycle management strategies are defined and executed. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
    • Works cross-functionally across the organization, including the US OBU, R&D (including Clinical Operations), Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, Patient Advocacy and Global Marketing, to coordinate all elements related to product success for each assigned product within the portfolio, from pre-launch planning and execution through product maturity, to ensure corporate objectives are met at each stage of the life cycle.
    • Lead the Commercial Planning Process and the cross-functional team charged with developing both the forecast and annual plans for multiple brands based upon a deep understanding of key market opportunities and challenges.
    • Lead cross-functional franchise team in key business processes, including demand and financial forecasting, budget management, and operational reviews with the US Oncology Leadership Team (US OLT).
    • Ensure timely understanding of brand performance and work collaboratively with the Integrated Franchise Team to modulate tactical plans as necessary. Direct cost-effective allocation of resources to deliver commercial objectives and guide team members to report the impact of brand commercial programs.
    • Inspire, coach and develop the Marketing team to ensure world-class capabilities are brought to the organization, including development, measurement, and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for priority initiatives.
    • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including colleagues from Sales, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Patient Advocacy & Engagement, and other critical functions.--
    • Accountable for work with external stakeholders, including thought leaders and advocacy development, in order to understand current market conditions, Takeda product considerations and position, to anticipate changes in the treatment landscape, and to inform commercial programs.
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure the US OBU implements the brand life cycle management plan for multiple products and successfully executes all label changes, including new indications.
    • Represent the US OBU in the GBT and with senior management when discussing current and future lifecycle management opportunities.
    • Demonstrate Takeda values and compliance on a daily basis by acting in ways consistent with Takeda values and policies.-- EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Education and Experience:
      • BA/BS degree in business, marketing, science or related field
      • Minimum of 12 years of pharmaceutical commercial experience
      • Experience leading, motivating and developing direct reports to create high-perfoming teams, as well as experience leading a cross-functional team through indirect influence.--
      • Demonstrated track record of formulating commercial strategies and executing the resulting marketing campaigns; ability to demonstrate business impact of key commercial tactics to optimize the investment mix.
      • Knowledge and understanding of the drug development, regulatory review, and commercialization processes for specialty products within the US environment.
      • Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in a rapidly changing, competitive environment
      • Demonstrated proficiency with utilizing qualitative and quantitative methodologies to create business cases for investment based upon a thorough understanding of current and expected future marketplace dynamics
      • Enthusiasm, confidence, and leadership skills sufficient to successfully engage diverse stakeholders including senior executives, external thought leaders, and a talented franchise/brand team
      • Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and developing talent Preferred qualifications:
        • Advanced degree, particularly in business or biotechnology management
        • At least 5 years within a US commercial organization with responsibility for pre-launch or in-line marketing for rare disease or specialty brand
        • Experience leading an oncology franchise/brand team through product launch or label expansion
        • Experience creating and maintaining an accurate brand level budget, both for marketing and integrated franchise/brand teams TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
