ABOUT THE ROLE:
The City of Cambridge is excited to embrace a digital Human
Resources (HR) transformation to leverage technology to modernize
and optimize HR functions within the organization. The Director of
HR Transformation will lead the adoption of digital tools,
software, and strategies to streamline HR processes, improve
employee experiences, and enhance overall organizational
efficiency. The digital transformation will impact areas such as
recruitment, employee onboarding, performance management, training,
payroll, benefits, service delivery and more. The goal is to use
technology to automate routine tasks, gather data-driven insights,
and provide self-service options for employees, ultimately leading
to better decision-making and a more agile HR department.
The Director of Human Resources (HR) Transformation is a strategic
leadership role responsible for designing, implementing and
managing effective system, tool and business process transformation
efforts that support the operation of our core service delivery.
This position reports to the Chief People Officer and works closely
with the Director of HR Administration, Director of ERP
Transformation and the Chief Information Technology Officer. This
is a highly impactful role that demands attention to detail,
excellent problem solving, communication, presentation and project
management skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific duties of the position include but are not limited to
the following:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is conducted primarily in an office
environment with fluorescent lighting, air conditioning, computers,
and other standard office equipment, but also involves meetings in
other offices or facilities.
