Responsibilities
The Draper Space Systems Program Office is seeking a Program
Manager who will be responsible for managing Draper Space Systems
programs. The candidate will have demonstrated skills in project
and program management and possess aerospace program and technology
experience. - Responsibilities will include supporting and leading
critical space programs, including program capture, development,
planning and execution. - Candidate will be responsible for
supporting new and existing programs with Draper space programs
customers including NASA and commercial industry to partner in the
development of new space systems and technologies. - Demonstrated
experience with the overall program life-cycle from proposal
through execution is essential. -The program manager will be
responsible for program execution including interfacing with
customers, coordinating successful execution with internal
stakeholders, and insuring contractual deliverables are completed
on schedule and within the approved budget. -This position will
support the Draper Space Systems Director, Business Area Leads, and
Senior Program Managers in the development of internal products and
provide recommendations for research and development. - - - -
Qualifications
Degree in a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in
aerospace systems is desired. -Program and project management
skills are required including work breakdown structure, budget
planning and execution, integrated master schedule development and
maintenance, and risk and opportunity management. - Additionally,
the candidate will have a technically versatile background with the
ability to quickly learn new technologies and/or new applications;
and, the ability to identify new opportunities. The candidate will
possess an intimate knowledge, and track record of successful
business interaction with internal stakeholders and customers. -
The candidate must have excellent communications, presentation, and
networking skills. - The ideal candidates has the ability and
interest to understand and embrace Draper's mission as a
not-for-profit R&D organization
