As a leader in the AIML PM organization, you will personally lead strategic product initiatives critical to the future of Siri, Dictation and other speech driven products. You will manage product and program managers responsible for speech recognition and work with top tier engineering and product teams to serve over 1 billion customers, crafting the highest quality user experiences that Apple customers expect and love. Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in Product, Program or Project Management, or similar role leading cross-functional product or software engineering teams
  • 5+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally working on speech recognition, machine-learned systems, and/or sophisticated backend and front-end systems
  • 5+ years in people management experience - Experience recruiting and building successful teams of product and program managers
  • Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products
  • Self-sufficient in analyzing and drawing conclusions about the quality and product opportunity from raw and refined product data
  • Great product sense, with the ability to translate between product goals, business goals into technical requirements for large, zero to one product launches
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
  • Highly developed capability to, directly and indirectly, lead large teams for success
  • Able to align product roadmaps across large organizations while still being able to dive into the details when necessary to drive key strategic product ideation
  • Player-coach capable of personally leading large products while coaching team members along the way Description - Oversee the development & accuracy of Automatic Speech Recognition for Siri, Dictation and the Apple ecosystem in over 40 locales - Own feature planning and prioritization: Coordinate all aspects of development for multiple projects including specifications, scope, requirements, and delivery - Partners with Siri engineering leadership to develop an effective strategy that meets Siri's product and engineering needs - Partner with engineering and product leadership across Apple to align Siri's product roadmaps with Apple's long term vision. - Represent our team with other corporate functions (marketing, product security, legal, etc.), Manage feature stabilization/convergence processes, and help prepare featured demos for Apple events. - Lead your PM organization through effective performance management, career development, education, training, and most importantly, continuous process improvements. - Partner with PM leadership to build strong PM practices throughout the Siri in addition to your own organization. Education & Experience BS/MS/PhD EE/CS/CE or equivalent Additional Requirements
    • - Prior PM or engineering experience in speech recognition, natural language understanding, machine learning, search, data pipelines, and/or A/B testing
    • - M.S. or Ph.D. degree with a focus in machine learning, data mining or statistics
    • - Past management experience at a top technology company
