Job Description:
The Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence (CI), Global
Immunology will be responsible for leading CI activities for the
Global immunology business unit(s) within the Company. This
position will provide a high level of competitive intelligence
analysis to support the company's businesses. This person will be
an integral cross functional partner to the leadership and the
commercial teams. Key components of this role will include
proactively monitoring and synthesizing the competitive
environment, analyzing threats and opportunities, and working with
cross functional partners to provide insights to help guide the
short- and long-term strategy of the company's immunology
portfolios. This position will be an important part of the
Immunology Customer Insights team.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to
Lead CI activities bringing proactive key competitive intelligence
to leaders within the commercial organization that will reduce
uncertainties and create insights to help guide optimal business
decisions.
Legally and ethically monitor, gather, analyze, and communicate
actionable, reliable intelligence on the competitive environment
including company messaging, pipeline/R&D, life cycle
management, and predicted strategies and tactics.
Ensure appropriate intelligence and value-added insights are
captured and disseminated throughout the commercial organization
and supporting functions including regular intelligence briefings
and early warning alerts.
Work in close collaboration with the commercial teams, other
related market insights functions and forecasting to create and
maintain up to date key intelligence topics and develop a
prioritized implementation plan to provide best solutions.
Collaborate with other market insights related colleagues to
synthesize internal and external information, analytics and data to
arrive at value added conclusions.
Manage external vendor(s) to proactively maintain appropriate
levels of market intelligence coverage.
Lead Congress CI efforts and provide key competitive insights
before, during and post congress.
Rigorously apply the Company's standards of ethics and policies for
intelligence gathering.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD)
preferred.
Experience Related Requirements
7+ years of relevant experience in biopharma industry (industry
side or consulting)
High degree of analytical horsepower
Experience with an Immunology focus strongly preferred
Experience with vendor-side CI firm and/or consulting firm strongly
preferred
Product launch experience strongly preferred
Experience across global, regional, local roles strongly
preferred
Experience in adjacent functions (NPP, marketing, value & access) a
plus
Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balance competing
priorities, and ensure high quality
