Project and Budget Manager - #22-0255 Cambridge , MA Area of
Interest Information Technology Position Type Full-time The
Opportunity Lesley University is seeking an Operations Project and
Budget Manager. Reporting to the Chief Information Office, this
position provides project management and ongoing budgetary support
for the CIO, Information Technology Department, and Operations
areas of the University. Enabling the CIO to effectively lead
technology for the university, this position provides timely and
accurate financial information for decision making, keeps track of
IT and Operations priorities that need leadership attention and
managing details of major projects. The qualified candidate will
also oversee administrative functions of IT, manages all aspects of
major projects, and serves as a liaison for the CIO, IT department,
and Operations areas for internal and external constituencies.
Qualities and Capabilities The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required, Master's
- 7 years professional experience including project management,
administrative support and managing non-salary budgets of at least
$1 million. Experience managing capital budgets in addition to
operating budgets strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal and
problem-solving skills required. Ability to establish efficient
systems and manage and prioritize a significant workload with
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and
- Ability to work collaboratively with others as well as
- Proactive, organized with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and experience in a collaborative
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve with creativity and
- Experience working with confidential information
- Self-motivated, takes ownership for initiatives and assigned
- Adept at the use of Colleague (or other SIS), BlackBoard (or
other LMS), Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new technologies
- particularly Web 2.0 tool
- Computer Literate in MS Office, Office365 and SharePoint.
- Strong working knowledge of products and services that are
purchased by the IT department. This includes but is not limited to
hardware, software, maintenance agreements, consulting and
communication carrier services.
