Our long history in the staffing industry and dedication to excellence are the key differentiators that have fueled our success for over 30 years.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager will be a key member of the global health team, responsible for smooth functioning of multiple drug development projects focused on malaria, tuberculosis and the neglected tropical diseases. This is a varied and dynamic position that spans project operations and planning, budgeting, grant management and contracting. The Project Manager will interface with a range of internal stakeholders, including several scientific groups (chemistry, safety, DMPK, CMC), legal and finance, as well as external collaboration partners and grant agencies in the US and internationally.Key responsibilities:---Manage planning and operations for a portfolio of projects: Take responsibility for cohesive progress towards project goals by the multidisciplinary team. Coordinate scientific decision-making and (re)design of project plans. Map and monitor timelines; identify and resolve barriers to success. Facilitate productive collaboration with external partners as a primary point-of-contact. Organize regular project meetings and manage data sharing, including collaborative tools (e.g. SharePoint).---Manage project budgets: Develop, track and update project budgets in coordination with Client functional groups and external partners. Ensure timely invoicing and payments for collaboration partners, funding organizations and CROs.---Manage preparation of grant proposals (including development of project plans, budget and timelines) together with internal and external team members. Coordinate progress reporting and communications with funding organizations.---Coordinate contracting with collaborators and CROs in conjunction with legal and scientific colleagues, including grant agreements, work orders, CDAs and MTAs.---Take initiative to identify and address gaps and implement solutions to improve workflows and project management.Profile---Bachelor's degree in life sciences, advanced degree (e.g. Master's) preferred. A degree in a different field with additional experience in the biomedical field is also suitable.---At least 3-5 years' experience in project management or similar role in biotech/pharma or research institution/medical center, preferably in therapeutic development.---Excellent project management skills, including organization, attention to detail and a collaborative approach; comfortable managing research goals and coordinating scientific decision-making.---High proficiency in budget planning and management; experience handling complex (multimillion-dollar) budgets is preferred.---Experience with grant preparation and management, or learning agility to develop these skills.---Working knowledge of the key elements of drug development; familiarity with the organization and processes of biotech/pharma companies is a plus.---Experience working with external organizations, such as collaboration partners and CROs, is preferred.---Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively across a range of disciplines and organizations to productively address project needs.---Familiarity with project management tools (such as SharePoint & SmartSheets) is a plus.---Able to manage competing demands and shifting priorities while working across multiple projects.---Takes initiative and responsibility for action, and a resourceful problem-solver.---Excellent judgement and ability to handle sensitive information.---Values diversity and compassion, and embraces a multicultural environment.---Motivated to make a lasting contribution as a key member of the global health team.QualificationsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
