Director, Global Market Access and Pricing will be responsible for
Alnylam's global pricing, reimbursement and market access
responsibilities associated with programs in acute hepatic
porphyria (AHP) and primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1). This role
will report to the VP Global Market Access & Pricing and will be a
key member of the Global Market Access & Pricing team.Summary of
Key Responsibilities Act as Market Access lead to Global Medical,
Access and Commercial teams to develop and execute on strategic
pricing and market access strategy for inline products consistent
with Alnylam's patient access/pricing philosophy and our pricing
policy and practices. Represent Market Access to Leadership Teams
for AHP and PH1 and ensure proper consideration to payer and access
needs in strategic decision-making. Closely working with the VP
Global Market Access & Pricing, regions and key markets (US, EU4,
UK, Japan and Brazil), to maximize assets while securing meaningful
access to patients both in direct Alnylam markets as well as
Distributor markets. Ensure market access decisions adequately
consider cross border implications (including International
Referencing Pricing risk). Develop and lead strategic pricing/value
framework decisions for ultra-rare/rare disease assets through
highly integrated global/regional/local commercial teams. Working
with regional partners, maintain and monitor price decisions across
countries to ensure alignment with global pricing strategy. Lead in
alignment with Alnylam's Patient Access Philosophy by further
improving VBAs (Value Based Agreements). Monitor global pricing and
market access trends and identify opportunities for novel payer
engagement. Collaborate and maintain relationships with key
internal partners, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value and
Evidence Strategy, New Product Commercialization, Competitive
Intelligence, Market Insights, and others as
necessary.Qualifications At least 7+ years of biopharmaceutical
industry experience in leadership positions of increasing
responsibility. Advanced degree in relevant discipline preferred.
Minimum of 7 years Market Access experience, at global or regional
level. Strong experience working cross-functionally/regionally to
develop pricing and reimbursement strategies both in the US and
globally. Strong ability to understand market trends, financial
data, and customer needs with strong acumen assessing competitive
intelligence data. Previous direct experience with
launch/post-launch Market Access planning and strategy building
required. Experience with indication expansion and Lifecycle
Management preferred. Recent experience launching transformational
products in orphan indications preferred. Demonstrated success in
managing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced
environment. If employed in the U.S., being fully vaccinated
against COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and
