Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
following: + In close collaboration with the Program Director,
leverage all team members and platforms to establish and
effectively carry out the goals and objectives of all projects and
activities in the PHC portfolio + Strategize, oversee, and
coordinate all research and implementation activities of the PHC
team with integrity and excellence, contributing management
expertise and taking responsibility for sound management of all
work produced by the PHC team + Serve as supervisor and/or mentor
to all PHC project management and admin staff, providing direction
and coordination across workstreams + Serve as strategic thought
partner to the Director and be able to articulate and represent the
program's vision to internal and external partners in high-level
stakeholder and partnership development meetings + Apply
significant knowledge and experience from the global health and PHC
fields to contribute to shaping the current and future trajectory
of the PHC portfolio at Ariadne Labs, including identifying and
cultivating selected funding opportunities + In collaboration with
the Program Director, provide support and input to revenue and
grant generating activities including: prioritization of
opportunities, proposal development and writing, and relationship
cultivation + In close collaboration with the Director, cultivate
and maintain strong relationships with all partners, organization
staff, and external stakeholders + Represent Ariadne organization
and the PHC program to the public, stakeholders, and partners as
directed by Program Director + Develop and reinforce strong
communication channels within the team and work with the Program
Director to build and maintain a positive team culture +
Participate in, and encourage team member participation in, Ariadne
Labs' organizational meetings, updates, and community building
activities + Share learnings from the PHC portfolio with other
Ariadne programs and platforms + Model and reinforce Ariadne's
values by serving as a steward of Ariadne's overall mission and
goals + Contribute to the overall scientific integrity of Ariadne
Labs + Support all other program-related work as needed and

care.Primary Health Care ProgramThe Primary Health Care (PHC)
portfolio at Ariadne Labs contains multiple interconnected
projects, including the PHC Performance Initiative (PHCPI) which
aims to catalyze improvement in PHC in low and middle-income
countries through more and better measurement, country engagement
and effective knowledge management. The PHC team also collaborates
directly with country partners as well as local partners in
Massachusetts, to assess country and state-level primary health
care systems, and design and implement improvement strategies. The
PHC portfolio is expanding rapidly, with active work in multiple
countries, and deepening relationships with collaborating partners
around the globe.Position OverviewReporting to the PHC Program
Director, the Assistant Director of Management for the Primary
Health Care Program at Ariadne Labs will be a key leader of the PHC
team, which includes clinicians, scientists, project managers,
research assistants, and graduate students. The Assistant Director
of Management will have primary responsibility for ensuring the
efficient and effective delivery of work across the PHC portfolio.
This will include building and operationalizing the program's
management structure across projects and directing and supporting
the PHC team at Ariadne Labs through both strategic and day-to-day
work implementation guidance. The Assistant Director of Management
will directly oversee and/or mentor all project management staff on
the PHC team, applying expertise in the Ariadne Labs approach to
program management to ensure excellence across all team research
and implementation activities. The Assistant Director of Management
will also support the Director in the management of the research
staff and coordination with internal collaborators from the
Platform, Communications, and Finance teams at Ariadne Labs.The
Assistant Director of Management will serve as a strategic thought
partner for the Director, contributing knowledge and experience to
help shape the current and future trajectory of the PHC portfolio,
with specific focus on the Program's management approach. In
partnership with the Program Director, the Assistant Director of
Management will also be jointly responsible for ensuring program
and team health.This position will be considered a senior
representative of Ariadne Labs, its mission, and its values and
therefore requires the ability to develop and maintain senior level
internal and external relationships. When determined by the
Director, the Assistant Director will represent the Program and the
Director in meetings within Ariadne Labs and with external
partners, locally, regionally, and internationally. The Assistant
Director will also support the team in identifying and applying for
additional investment to support ongoing and new projects.This
