The Division of Quality is responsible for promoting a culture of

The Quality and Safety Department serves as a resource center to
the organization to cultivate a culture of safety, eliminate
preventable harm for all patients and staff, provide high value,
equitable, evidence-based care, create an excellent care experience
and to develop institutional capacity in improvement science and

The DMH Regulatory Manager performs and participates in activities
to facilitate continuous quality improvement throughout the
Department of Psychiatry. Monitors regulatory compliance, consults
with and supports inpatient units and outpatient teams around
quality improvement, reporting needs and database administration.
Tracks and ensures the integrity of the data.
Key Responsibilities:
' Oversee all reporting systems within the Department of
Psychiatry, and produces reports monthly, quarterly, annually and
ad hoc to meet the needs of the department. Monitors and ensures
data integrity of reports.
Facilitate quality improvement initiatives within the Department of
Psychiatry. Assists in the planning, design, data collection,
implementation, reporting, chart auditing and monitoring of QI
initiatives.
Consult with inpatient units and outpatient programs around quality
issues. Provides suggestions for improvement. Participates in
accreditation and licensing tracers, and environmental rounds.
Assist with preparation for DMH licensing, Joint Commission
accreditation, and other external reviews by funding sources.
Project manager for IPFQR CMS core measures, CANS, Patient
Experience of Care reporting, and other PFP and PFR measures.
Completes data abstraction and reviews as necessary.
Liaison for the SERS reporting and SERS Complaint Feedback systems.
Provides analysis and reporting on all risk management data and
complaint information.
Manage the review and revision of policies and procedures for the
department.
Manage the Department of Psychiatry's Epic Clinical Content
Committees and Psychiatry Data Group.
Train Psychiatry residents and staff on aspects of completing
treatment plans, assessments and other required documentation.
Assist with the facilitation of external investigations,
consultations and internal risk reviews. Participates in the
Complex Case Review Committee.
Participate in committees to represent the Department of Psychiatry
as needed. Conducts ad hoc projects as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Other information:
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in psychology, database
administration/analytics, or related field. Equivalent, relevant
experience may be substituted for a degree. Master's strongly
preferred.
Work Experience:
Three to five years quality improvement, and database
administration/analytics experience.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Google sheets, docs, slides,
Smartsheet), Epic (front end) and LucidChart. Ability to synthesize
data and generate graphs. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and
written communication skills with the ability to interact with a
variety of constituencies both internal and external to the
organization. Ability to process sensitive information in a timely
manner and maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to handle
multiple high priority projects simultaneously and be detailed
oriented. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
Ability to concentrate and complete tasks with ongoing
interruptions and distractions. Relies on experience and good
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Able to direct and lead the
work of others.
