Sr. Director, Inflammation and Immunology Rx creation and
Translational Research Rx Creation Cambridge, Massachusetts,

What You'll Do You will play a critical and highly visible role at
EQRx by providing strategic, scientific, and technical leadership
to cross functional project teams engaged in the discovery and
development of novel I&I medicines and will drive translational
research in these therapeutic areas. You will oversee the
development of detailed work plans to incorporate quantitative,
objective end points into clinical studies to demonstrate target
engagement, pharmacodynamic regulation of pathways of interest,
modulation of pharmacologic mechanism and information to aid
patient selection. You will conceive and execute translation
strategies to support robust decision making on the developability
of drug molecules for immune-inflammatory diseases, and to provide
the link between early research and clinical studies. You will be
working across multiple functional groups and stakeholders to
develop the Immuno-inflammatory strategy and lead our efforts in
translational sciences including in vitro and in vivo pharmacology,
biomarker development and IND-enabling studies. You will work with
the biomarker team to plan and execute a CDx strategy as
appropriate, and also to identify and implement new technologies
and assays needed to support biomarker assays. This role will
contribute to and author relevant regulatory submission documents
(pre-IND, IND, IB, BLA, etc.) and provide strategic guidance on
regulatory interactions relating to nonclinical development of
drugs in immune-inflammatory diseases. You will work cross
functionally and manage relationships with internal and external
stakeholders. This role will establish and maintain an
understanding of current trends in drug development for
immuno-inflammatory diseases. An important requirement for success
in this position is the ability to identify and leverage
cutting-edge technologies that can significantly impact clinical
drug development decisions and timelines and bring value to
patients and prescribers. You will represent the RX Creation
function at internal scientific reviews and governance meetings,
external forums, consortia and health authority interactions and
build relationships & collaborate with scientific leaders, KOLs,
academic partners, CROs, and health authorities. The Impact You

first. Your Superpowers
- You have a Ph.D. in Immunology with a minimum of 12+ years of
relevant drug discovery and translational research experience in a
biopharmaceutical organization.
- You possess expert level knowledge in reverse translation in
inflammation and immunology (I&) medical disorders.
- You have solid experience in developing relevant in vitro and
in vivo translational disease models and applying them to support
the advancement of drug discovery projects.
- You have a demonstrated track record in the identification and
validation of translational biomarkers to support informed
decisions in pre- and clinical settings.
- You are a strategic thinker with outstanding scientific
excellence and accomplishments in immunology and inflammation as
demonstrated by successful IND filings, strong publication record,
patents, and/or conference presentations.
- You have experience in authoring non-clinical study reports and
sections of regulatory documents.
- You have a demonstrated track record of managing technical
activities at external partners and/or CROs and
analysis/interpretation of results to drive projects to IND filing
and clinical PoC.
- You can work well cross functionally with complex issues and
creating direction in shifting priorities and ambiguity.
- You are results oriented with breadth and depth in
translational research and biopharmaceutical development to resolve
complex problems.
- You have proven experience in building a high performing team.
You have the ability to recruit and develop top talent, motivate
and empower a team, work cross-functionally, and delegate
effectively.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
- You understand relationships are key and have strong
interpersonal skills.
