business analyst to join our team in leveraging information
technology to accelerate the productivity of the Discovery
Biotherapeutics scientists. - - We are looking for a Business
Partner with product owner, business architecture, business process
management, and business intelligence skills as well as a good
knowledge of Biologics Discovery.This role is accountable for
surfacing IT technological demands, implementing digital
capabilities and evolving strategic information systems that
globally enable Discovery Biotherapeutics to streamline processes,
particularly around data analysis and visualization. This role is
within the Research & Early Development IT department and will
partner with Discovery Biotherapeutics, internal IT service teams,
outsourcing partners, and vendors to define, prioritize, plan,
deliver and support strategic digital capabilities.Key
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, backlog and user stories for a
Biotherapeutics data visualization and analysis project
- Develop solid business cases to drive value creation through
alignment to business objectives and priorities, business process
analysis, and information flow analysis
- Elicit and translate complex business requirements into
technical artifacts including user stories, wireframes, prototypes,
information flow diagrams and process maps
- Lead business analysis efforts and due diligence to discover
and understand root causes of business challenges
- Work with stakeholders to identify qualitative improvements and
articulate quantitative benefits of implementing solutions
- Partner with IT project management, delivery teams, and
scientists as a scrum product owner for delivery of value
- Define and drive change management initiatives (technological
and business process)Qualifications & Experience
- 3-8 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical
industry in a role with extensive collaboration with the research
IT organization and a scientific organization.
- Experience or familiarity with applications used for data
capture and analysis as applied to antibody discovery and
development (eg. Spotfire, GeneData Biologics, Dotmatics, ELN)
- Experience working on an agile (Scrum) team
- BS or MS in life sciencesAround the world, we are passionate
