Overview:
The Accounting Manager at Leap Therapeutics, Inc. will be
responsible for general accounting across our research and
development business model which includes oncology clinical
operations, translational research, and antibody manufacturing of
clinical trial material. This role will report to the Senior
Director of Finance/Corporate Controller and serves as a consultant
for managers within the organization. Other key responsibilities
will be assisting the accounting team with monthly and quarterly
closing responsibilities reviewing balance sheets, intercompany
accounting, preparation of and ensuring accuracy of financial
results, financial planning, maintaining general ledgers, Sarbanes
Oxley (SOX) compliance, and SEC reporting. Additionally, as needed
this role will provide support to Accounts Payable to help during
peak times in the month with invoice processing. Highlights of

base, bonus, and equity awards. Key Responsibilities:
--- Month end and quarter end accounting and reporting
responsibilities including but not limited to balance sheet review,
journal entries, variance analysis and assisting with preparation
of the financial reporting packages--- Reconcile all company bank
accounts as part of the month-end close and communicate any
discrepancies to the Corporate Controller--- Responsible for
preparing monthly account reconciliations and ensuring they meet
SOX requirements --- Assist in pulling accounting documentation
requested to support various audits, tax and special projects such
as accounts payable data entry automation--- Provide timely
communication with Accounting and FP&A team when helping to
solve accounting-related problems - Reviewing of Financials for
proper recognition and presentation, drafting of financials,
preparing departmental views - Account Payable (AP) oversight
including approvals (Vendors, Invoices), ensuring expenses are
properly classified (Prepaids, Fixed Assets) and coded for
correctly, preparing AP aging reports, preparing recommended
payment reports, subledger reconciliation - Equity management and
payroll processing - Cash flow reporting including updating cash
flow actuals, monitoring cash in bank, and preparing cash flow
position - Accruals oversight including overseeing proper period
recognition of expenses, ensuring accruals are properly segmented
(general, legal, clinical, manufacturing, research, bonuses, etc.)
--- Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested--- Special Projects

Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree, Accounting required, CPA preferred--- 5-8
years of experience in Accounting or Auditing --- Biotechnology or
Pharmaceutical experience a plus--- Experience in public accounting
firm preferred--- Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel, required
--- Exposure to using an ERP System, required. Sage Intacct
experience a plus. --- Fundamental understanding of Accounting and
General Ledger --- Process-oriented with strong analytical skills
for risk identification and management - Ability to multi-task
efficiently from a remote work environment and ability to work
independently and collaboratively, as required - Maintain high
attention to detail and strict deadlines - Strong understanding of
corporate finance concepts and accounting principles - Superb
organizational skills and experience leading projects - Strong
communication skills (both written and verbal)
