Director, Investor Relations at Fulcrum Therapeutics * Fulcrum requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Company Overview Fulcrum Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of patients with genetically defined rare diseases in areas of high unmet medical need. Fulcrum's two lead programs in clinical development are losmapimod, a small molecule for the treatment of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and FTX-6058, a small molecule designed to increase expression of fetal hemoglobin for the treatment of sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies, including beta-thalassemia. The company's proprietary product engine, FulcrumSeekTM, identifies drug targets that can modulate gene expression to treat the known root cause of gene mis-expression. Description We are seeking an exceptional Director of Investor Relations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, this person will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of the investor relations function and will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement a best-in-class investor relations program. The right candidate will be a highly effective communicator, a strong strategic thinker who can execute with excellence, a team player capable of collaborating with a dynamic cross-functional team, and a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategy
  • Develop and manage a robust IR calendar, including the planning and execution of investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, 1x1 meetings, and other investor events
  • Establish and nurture close relationships with key investors and sell-side analysts
  • Create and manage a targeting strategy for prospective investors
  • Develop materials for announcements, quarterly calls, investor events and other disclosures, including key messages, presentations, conference call scripts, press releases, and Q&As
  • Brief and prepare executives in advance of conferences, quarterly calls, presentations, investor and analyst meetings, and other investor events
  • Ensure timely input, participation, and internal alignment in IR strategies and activities
  • Act as a corporate liaison to institutional investors and sell-side analysts; provide accurate, consistent and timely responses to inquiries from investors and analysts.
  • Track analyst models to ensure they reflect company's guidance, milestones and programs Qualifications
    • 8+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical industry
    • Investor relations experience at a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company is required
    • Established relationships and credibility with the investment community
    • Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, drug development and regulatory processes, as well as rules and regulations guiding public disclosures
    • Strategic thinker who is also strong on execution
    • Proven leadership skills with an ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
    • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
    • Proven ability to develop and deliver clear, compelling, and consistent messaging and content, including corporate presentations, press releases and Q&A
    • Attention to detail and diligence in deadline-driven environment
    • Ability to set and manage priorities, resources, and outside agencies
    • Highly motivated individual with the flexibility and creativity to excel in a rapidly growing and changing environment; confidence and organizational skills to independently work on multiple tasks
