homeowners, businesses, and even renters to go solar. With surging
demand for renewable energy, Solstice is poised for significant
scale. In light of this scale, we are seeking a high-performing,
self-starting VP of Revenue to serve as one of the organization's
key executives and lead our revenue-generating teams (Sales,
Marketing, and Business Development) into this next phase of
growth. In this role, you will work directly with the founders and
managers and own our go-to-market strategy, using data to drive
pricing, product structure, and the customer journey. A seasoned
startup executive, you have led a revenue generating department or
organization in the past. You thrive on ensuring our systems,
structures, and processes for coordinating multiple teams are set
up for success, and when you spot inefficiencies you take the
initiative to reduce them. In addition to growing our existing
services around customer acquisition and customer management for
community solar, you will support management in exploring new
revenue opportunities and plan and identify the resources required
to launch new efforts. Finally, you will be responsible for growing
our revenue teams as we scale, developing our people and culture
along the way. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage revenue-generating teams: Sales, Marketing,
BD, as well as Revenue Operations
- Ensure Sales and Marketing are well coordinated with BD with
respect to project capacity across geographies, acquisition
timelines, and forecasts
- Coordinate new project launches and transitions from customer
acquisition to customer management (i.e. handoffs to Customer
Experience team)
- Project-manage cross-functional initiatives across
revenue-generating teams, as well as debriefs of said initiatives
with a view towards continuous process improvement
- Identify and resolve issues across the Sales/Marketing/BD
functions
- Create accountability across revenue generating teams by
developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and
promotions with these metrics
- Manage pricing for new projects and oversee budget for customer
acquisition; support BD team in contract negotiations
- Maintain a pulse on the community solar market, analyze new
opportunities and potential strategic partnerships, and drive
forward competitive analyses
- 10+ years of experience in diversified leadership roles, having
led revenue, sales, marketing, or BD departments in the past,
ideally at fast-growing startups (Series A/B/C)
- Strong process and structure mindset to keep teams tightly
coordinated and steering in the same direction; highly organized
and detail oriented
- Proven and demonstrable track record of growing revenue through
marketing, branding, and partnerships
- Significant general management and P&L experience
- Excitement to design and implement structures/processes that
will enable our business to achieve new levels of scale and
continuously improve
- Leadership ability to organize and empower diverse teams to row
in the same direction
- Self-starter, with the ability to execute and implement change
- Demonstrated maturity, with ability to balance risk-taking with
good judgment
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships and
credibility quickly
- Ability to create a team atmosphere with internal staff while
achieving key objectives
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and people skills;
comfort with speaking to a range of people, from the internal team
to the board to large scale corporate client prospects
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Trello,
Asana, etc. as well as MS Office/Google suite
- Proficiency with sales or marketing software tools (Salesforce,
HubSpot, etc)
- Passion for clean energy and energy equity; experience in the
clean energy or energy industry a plus As VP of Revenue, you will
