Please visit for more information. Job Description At Janssen R, we are on a journey to modernize our data science projects and capabilities. Very simply, this means that data science and AI/ML will fuel critical decisions and business processes across the company. To achieve these capabilities, we need strategic roadmaps, processes, and technical expertise for translating research-grade, AI/ML algorithms into products that are deployable in clinical trials and clinical settings to improve patient outcomes. This individual will partner with cross-functional team members to develop and own the execution of AI/ML product roadmaps that accelerate the deployment of Janssen R Data Science algorithms. Responsibilities Develop and Deploy Clinical ML Products Collaborate with Data Science Portfolio Management, Analytics and Insights, and Therapeutic Area leaders to develop data science product development and deployment roadmaps, aligned with overall program strategy. Run overall execution of product roadmap and lead cross-functional teams-including collaborators from Regulatory Affairs, Quality, IT, Data Science Engineering, and clinical operations-to ensure product timelines and goals are met. Collaborate with Data Science Analytics and Insights and other team members to develop packaged, deployable algorithms, including software testing and verification per regulatory and quality requirements (eg Design Controls, GxP). Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop analytical and clinical validation protocols, operational workflows, and performance monitoring metrics to enhance capture of business value. Shape ML Productization and Deployment Capabilities Assess partnership landscape and technical capabilities for AI/ML productization and deployment, and provide detailed recommendations key team members to advise program-level decision making. Help shape product lifecycle management strategy for data science algorithms, including identifying difficulties and refining current processes to gain efficiencies. Identify opportunities and lead development of internal platform capabilities to accelerate product development across the Janssen RD Data Science portfolio. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelors degree required. Masters or Ph.D. degree preferred. Degree concentration in a STEM field (Science, Computer Science, Information/Data Science, Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics) highly preferred. 2+ years leading data science projects for drug development and/or life science application with a track record of successfully deploying data science algorithms 2+ years in product/project management with business enablement experience a requirement Strong ability to apply business mindset to platform engineering and operations Ability to integrate cross-business strategies and manage enterprise-wide resources Strong communication and influencing skills Critical thinking skills with a strong focus on customers.
