Synopsis: Are you ready to help lead a team dedicated to bringing world class travel experiences to our passionate base of 18-29 year old customers? Are you an effective communicator and team player? If so, you might be the ideal Associate Director for the Ultimate Break Market Department team. As the -Senior Manager of Market Development, you'll be part of Ultimate Break's Market Development team responsible for helping grow the business through ongoing product maintenance and development, while also ensuring a high quality on-tour customer experience.

Extreme attention to detail, organization, focus, analytical and creative problem-solving skills and, patience are must-haves. Are you a self starter? and willing to commit towards building destination and product knowledge? All are essential qualities for this role. The Role You will need to understand key details of every Ultimate Break itinerary, liaise clearly and efficiently with our Sales, Service, Marketing, Data Analytics, Development, Flights and Operations teams in offices around the world to implement tour changes identified through collaboration and quantitative analysis. You will also be responsible for conducting quarterly quality reviews of the tour portfolio. This process includes synthesizing and sharing feedback with stakeholder teams around the world.

Beyond tour changes, this role includes opportunities to improve tour merchandising and presentation by collaborating with the Marketing and Development teams to drive enhancements to the itinerary experience and design. Other focus areas include: responsibility for becoming a product expert, continuously working to educate staff about our tours by overseeing product maintenance and training efforts through the upkeep of a myriad of internal product databases -

Responsibilities

  • Oversee tour change implementation process during major tour change cycles including tour change customer communications and leading sales trainings
  • Maintenance and enhancement of staff resources and product trainings
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our product, processes, internal systems, and tour portfolio
  • Initiate and review all materials requests with Creative team including the website pages, KBYG's and pre-departure information as well as owning accuracy of sales materials in all stages.
  • Responsibility of optional excursion management in our database including costing, pre-book requirements and seasonality.
  • Work on a wide variety of research and development projects for the Market Development team including gathering formal and informal customer surveys/feedback.
  • Systems maintenance in a range of systems and spreadsheets -Requirements:
    • 4+ years Sales, Service, Marketing or Operations experience within EF
    • Ability to appropriately prioritize numerous projects simultaneously
    • Experience supervising and managing others
    • Innovative spirit, true passion for travel
    • Self-starter who can take ownership and adapt quickly to project needs
    • Detail-oriented and hard-working
