What You'll Do: You will be a key partner in building the Investor Relations function at EQRx. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth, and disruptive biopharma company as we start our journey as a public company, helping shape and manage how we position ourselves and interact with investors, research analysts, and investment bankers. This role offers an exciting opportunity in an open environment to be creative - but purpose-driven - in how we manage interactions and work with these stakeholders. You will report to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development, work closely with senior leadership team and all parts of the organization, while building trust and credibility with all people both internally and externally.
The Impact You Will Have: Investor Relations is a key company priority as we educate external stakeholders on our story, our progress, how we are building value as a company, and how we are advancing our mission. In building an Investor Relations capability from scratch, we have a unique opportunity to apply your experience and creativity to employ new ways to track, manage, and interact with these stakeholders. You will have a direct role and responsibility in shaping and executing on these activities, strong interaction and visibility with senior management, and a tangible and measurable impact.
Specific areas of impact include:

  • Detailed tracking of investor, research analyst, and investment bank interactions, while developing and executing on strategies to maintain consistent engagement with the external community
  • Building and maintaining relationships with these external stakeholders
  • Working cross-functionally to develop presentations, communications, preparations, and other materials for stakeholder interactions, regular earnings calls, conferences, investor meetings, and other senior management activities
  • Building relationships and partnering with all parts of the organization to structure and understand company progress, incorporate into appropriate materials, and shape & maintain key IR-related materials, including but not limited to the corporate presentations and website
  • Working closely with senior management, you will be critical to shaping and driving our Investor Relations strategy, corporate narrative development, and strategic finance activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex organization, while working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
    Your Professional Superpowers:
    • You have a bachelor's degree; MBA, CFA, MD, or PhD degree is a plus.
    • You have 10+ years of relevant work experience in biopharma, preferably investor relations at a public and complex biopharma company, but could also include an IR agency, equity research, and other functions in developing relationships with the buy- and sell-side.
    • You are a strong communicator with excellent organization, presentation, writing, and analytical skills and can think like an investor or analyst and shape interactions appropriately.
    • You have strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the natural ability to build relationships with external stakeholders, seamlessly integrate into the company and teams.
    • You are genuine, trustworthy, have a high degree of integrity, with an understanding of regulatory requirements, and can effectively and appropriately manage the communication of sensitive information.
