The Associate Director, Program Services will play a leadership role within HBS Online, overseeing teams responsible for delivery of HBS Online programs. Program delivery covers all aspects of the HBS Online participant experience including admissions, enrollment, B2B relationship management and participant engagement. The role will serve as the voice of participants when collaborating with technical support and development teams to support and strengthen the HBS Online experience. Job-Specific Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Director, Program Services, this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, empower, manage and coach teams to reach potential. Support an environment that fosters innovation and a high quality of service.
  • Manage a team or teams of employees within a product line ensuring successful launch and delivery of programs to both B2C and B2B learners.
  • Set the strategy for and oversee operations of enrollment processes across HBS Online product lines. Liaise with HBS Online leadership and product managers to adjust according to organizational needs and market trends.
  • Serve as escalation point for exception requests, policy violations, and participant complaints.
  • Establish and implement strategy for engaging HBS Online program participants across HBS product lines in collaboration with Faculty Leadership, Technology and Content Development.
  • Manage operational goals and key performance indicators, recommending efficiencies and managing changes in structure and processes to accommodate larger groups of participants as the organization continues to grow and expand its reach.
  • Evaluate and iterate strategy based on target market requirements and yield analysis, identifying criteria for participant selection and ensuring alignment with the mission of HBS Online.
  • Create data analysis tools and programs to enable reporting on participant demographics. Generate reports for HBS Online senior leadership.
  • Analyze participant success rates to inform and improve structure of and criteria for future applications, with the goal of enrolling candidates who will persist and succeed in this learning environment.
  • Oversee strategy for monitoring and moderating all social aspects of HBS Online courses, including social media, student profiles, and discussion boards.
  • Oversee team members to ensure strong relationship management processes.
  • Interpret and administer admissions and financial aid policies for participants, schools, and other constituents, including outside agencies.
  • Identify system and process to counsel prospective students on offerings and admissions procedures, working with Product Managers and Business Development team to ensure consistency of messaging.
  • Manage all vendor relations for enrollment functions, such as essay grading providers, CRM, etc.
  • Serve as key Program Services representative on multiple cross functional committees.
  • Provide leadership in communication and problem solving in the event of delivery disruption or delay, some night and weekend work required.
  • Other duties as required. Basic Qualifications
    • 7+ years of related experience Additional Qualifications and Skills
      • 3+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred
      • A solid understanding of admissions, financial aid, and enrollment strategies is required
      • The ideal candidate will bring proven project management skills, a creative problem solving approach, and a deep understanding of the policies related to a successful educational experience
      • The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to work with an evolving agenda, and will bring organizational, interpersonal, and consultative skills to the position
      • This person must be self-motivated, feel confident articulating the mission of HBS Online internally and externally, and get satisfaction from being an integral part of a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team, willing to pitch in wherever needed Additional Information This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
