Associate Director, P2P & Procurement Operations This newly created position is responsible for driving operational excellence and providing leadership for the governance, technology, process and analytics for Sarepta's Procure-to-Pay (P2P) enhancements to support the rapid scaling of our business. The Associate Director, P2P & Procurement Operations will be responsible for establishing an effective P2P ecosystem and for the ongoing management of the function in alignment with the needs of the organization. This role will support the measurement of SLAs and KPIs as well as reporting on the end-to-end process.

We are looking for a curious, challenging, hands-on self-starter who can manage change across a complex and fast-moving organization. This highly cross-functional role will collaborate seamlessly across Procurement Finance, Accounting, Legal, IT and the various business functions to deliver an effective & efficient P2P center of excellence that standardizes the company approach to purchase goods and services while delivering on savings goals. The ideal candidate should be able to collaborate with integration partners, drive the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies, document key processes, create easy to follow work instructions to ensure effective source and purchase business needs.Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Global ownership of Procure-to-Pay from end-to-end. This includes all governance and compliance across the entire process.
  • Lead efforts within Finance and Accounting to design and implement best practice end-to-end accounts payable and procurement processes and develop a strategic roadmap for process and system implementations in close collaboration with IT
  • Leverage prior Accounting and Finance experience and expertise to identify solution optimization, simplification and standardization capabilities within our existing platforms.
  • Translate the strategy into operational goals, objectives, and process roadmaps; identify necessary resources (people and capital) to support the implementation of these strategies.
  • Lead optimal requisition and invoice resolution process with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Key systems to be developed, implemented and managed include: Spend analytics/visibility, sourcing (RFx) platform, requisitioning and PO placement, supplier onboarding, project pipeline and savings management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.Education and Skills Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree (MBA, MS) preferred, and Professional Procurement Certification (CPSM, MCIPS, etc.) desired.
    • 7-10 years of Procure-to-Pay experience
    • Strong familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the Source-to-Pay area of a global, publicly-traded Pharma/Life Sciences company. This includes SOX certification, supplier diversity, and HCP reporting requirements
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, project & people management skills, influencing without authority
    • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and managing non-direct reporting resources
    • Well versed with business, data, and technical language to connect processes, tools & data
    • Exceptional ability and demonstrable experience in working on own initiative.
    • Excellent communication, leadership and proven (2-3 years) management capabilities including the ability to successfully own, design and facilitate workshops.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated understanding to translate business requirements into operations or specifications with best value and customer service in mind.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and / or managing a number of priorities and projects in parallel.
    • Strong experience in upwards communication and senior stakeholder management.
    • Experience in delivering business change including designing processes, systems controls and governance for P2P and contract management technology
