About the role Sana Biotechnology is seeking a strategic and collaborative Director, Corporate Operations PMO who will provide centralized program management support for Corporate Operational Functions, including IT, Security, and Site Operations. This role will drive key priorities, manage cross-functional communication, partner with accountable leads, and manage execution of critical corporate operation projects. You will lead through influence, drive alignment across cross-functional teams and execute key deliverables seamlessly. This role will require you to think critically and strategically, as well as operating in the details to drive efforts forward. What you'll do Leadership Support:

  • Partner with the SVP, Corporate Operations and the leadership team to ensure strategies, priorities, goals, and roadmaps are well developed, communicated, tracked, and driven to completion
  • Support the development of organizational structure, talent development, and change management
  • Plan and facilitate all leadership meetings and all-hands meetings within the function (agendas, meeting minutes, and action item follow up)
  • Develop close relationships with other G&A functions to address cross-functional gaps, implement sustainable solutions, and continuously improve processes and partnerships Program Planning & Management:
    • Build and lead a high-functioning team of Project Managers (consultants, temps, FTEs) to establish high-quality, integrated program plans and timelines that align with overall corporate strategy and functional goals
    • Provide strong project and organizational knowledge, leadership and facilitation skills to optimize meetings and facilitate effective decision making and support established priorities across the function
    • Ensure effective communication, clear alignment, and seamless execution of function's business-critical deliverables (on time and within budget)
    • Develop and implement necessary project management tools, best practices, and processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and visibility of workstream statuses
    • Proactively drive risk management in collaboration with leadership team by early risk identification and quick facilitation for mitigation planning
    • Directly manage critical, high profile projects to improve overall probability of success for delivery, as needed Business Operations:
      • Oversee corporate operational financial planning and reporting in partnership with finance, including: managing budget, forecast, annual budget planning, and 3-year-operating plan
      • Oversee functional hiring strategy, tracking, and forecast in partnership with HR What we're looking for
        • 8-10 years of professional experience in project management and operations, preferably in a publicly traded healthcare/biotechnology company
        • BA/BS degree required; MBA degree a plus
        • You will have an exceptional combination of corporate level judgment, robust corporate project management ability, and scalable operational experience
        • Critical to this position's success, it will require you to have stellar interpersonal, negotiation, influence, and communications skills with various internal and external stakeholders
        • You are flexible and adaptable; have demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and work diplomatically and tactfully with others
        • Proven capability to appropriately challenge status quo, drive and support innovation, including new ideas to streamline and enhance processes rather than solely implement current tactics
        • You demonstrate the ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders
        • You are able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment where results are achieved through influence, cooperation, and the incorporation of multiple points of view
        • PMP certification preferred What you should know
