About the Role

NewGlobe spans 5 countries and 2,000+ schools serving 800,000 children. This will grow quickly during the rest of 2021 and through 2022.

As VP Schools, you will oversee the operations of these 2,000 schools.

Your success is measured by the safety of each child we serve, strength in management and community engagement, increased parent satisfaction and student enrollments, and ultimately student achievement. You are the main person seeking to manage those school leaders who work for NewGlobe and to influence the school leaders in our public-private partnerships, towards our 20+ Schools Key Performance Indicators.

This team designs and manages the use of programming and tools that helps all Schools teams achieve strong school management and parent and community engagement for every school under our care.

--- Through the Regional Schools Directors, you will improve educational and enrollment outcomes across schools in all territories, via their management and functional support of Schools Directors. Schools Directors, in turn, are responsible for the performance management of every school in the territory or program. This includes school management, academic programming, school programming, staff professional development, regulatory compliance, commercial sustainability, and parent and community engagement in every school we support. The team they supervise is in schools each day, providing ongoing mentorship, specific performance feedback, and on-going group and personal training. They manage one of the largest teams in the company, led by the field team of School Supervisors, that give daily support to each school. They have the incredible responsibility for the integrated delivery of all our programming in each school, for each teacher, for each child.

--- Through the School Management department, your goal will be to make every school under our management more consistently effective, by introducing robust structure and process. This department is responsible for designing and launching systems, tools and structures to improve the day-to-day management and support experience for thousands of school leaders across the globe. This includes the design of a school leader's own day, schedule and priorities, and structuring the support and monitoring they receive through the entire Schools vertical of Supervisors, Regional Managers, and Schools Directors. This department will also set the vision for how core values and practices are reinforced visually and procedurally in all of our schools. It will also create a school culture that is vibrant, professional, safe, and focused on learning, leading to large achievement gains and parent and government satisfaction.

--- Through the Parent and Community Engagement department, your goal will be to strengthen the interactions and communication between the school leader, teachers, learners, parents and community members, and to foster the holistic development of pupils. This department is responsible for designing and launching programs that effectively engage existing and prospective parents, for all parts of the parent journey (eg. outreach efforts, parent orientation, parent communication arcs). This department is also responsible for designing and launching programs that support the social-emotional and academic development of pupils beyond the classroom (eg. co-curricular programming, efforts to improve pupil attendance).

--- Through a team of Analysts, you will ensure that we have strong data quality on our pupils, teachers, school leaders, classrooms, schools and Support Staff. You will also ensure that Schools KPIs are accurately calculated where they are displayed, so that they drive the behaviour and performance we want to see in schools. You will work collaboratively with the Analysts and Tech teams to put data into the hands of individuals who have the most impact over learning and enrollment outcomes: school leaders, Supervisors, Regional Managers and Schools Directors. The Analysts will also provide secondary analysis to help understand variation beneath averages that provides deeper insight into opportunities for KPI improvement.

The VP Schools reports to the Chief Schools Officer.

What You Will Do

--- Data-driven performance management of several teams, including 6-7 direct reports:

--- Manage and support Shared Services Schools department leaders against a series of clearly-defined key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes management of the Director of School Management; Director of Parent and Community Engagement; three Regional Schools Directors. You will meet with each individual on a weekly basis to provide feedback and guidance, and oversee their portfolios.

--- Manage and support one to two analysts, whose work will be key to your ability to support the department leaders against their KPIs. You will meet with each of them on a weekly basis to provide assignments, feedback, and guidance.

--- You will manage Shared Services Schools' yearly and quarterly workflow to ensure coherence across the team's work, and strategic launch of quick, medium and long term wins to lead our schools to improved learning and enrollment outcomes. This includes setting an annual plan that describes the longer term goals of Shared Services Schools, and planning for each quarter with department heads.

--- You will develop talent and growth through your ongoing support of each leader, and recruit talent where needed
