Director, U.S. HCP & Patient Marketing (Lumasiran) Description Alnylam is the world's leading RNA interference (RNAi) company. Please visit www.alnylam.com for more information. The Director, U.S. Marketing (Lumasiran) sets strategic direction and business plans for the launch of Lumasiran in PH1. Leads the development and implementation of Healthcare Professional (HCP) and Patient marketing strategy and tactical planning. In coordination with headquarters, develops and implements pre-launch plans in order to maximize revenue, market share and profitability goals. Participates on cross-functional and global Extended Brand Teams and interacts extensively with other functions within Alnylam. Co-leads field sales/marketing integration with commercial execution to ensure alignment in execution, measurement, and advancement in broadening HCP engagement in and patient awareness of PH1. Summary of Key Responsibilities --- Provides leadership oversight in ensuring the alignment of market development/brand tactics to drive business objectives. Develops and encourages innovative strategies to maximize market development/brand objectives--- Establishes and implements key metrics to track and communicate value/impact of market development/brand initiatives to stakeholders--- Leads development and execution of the US marketing strategy and tactics across market development/brand efforts--- Develops and executes pre-launch and launch strategic and tactical brand plans.--- Oversees the development of promotional (branded and disease awareness) materials; ensures alignment of market development/brand positioning, messaging and objectives--- Oversees the development of digital, social medial and non-personal promotion materials; ensures alignment of market development/brand positioning, messaging and objectives--- Develops and presents business plans for endorsement--- Works closely with field customer facing commercial teams/leadership ensure marketing programs that are developed strongly support their needs with customers--- Maximizes revenue and profitability. Understands return on investment (ROI) concepts to ensure program effectiveness--- Support U.S. field customer facing commercial teams to help address field inquiries related to marketing materials, local exhibits and speaker programs--- Addresses competitive obstacles to ensure brand success--- Develops and monitors performance against budget--- Evaluates appropriate use of resources to ensure attainment of profitability goals--- Partner with key internal stakeholders and regions (global marketing, medical affairs, marketing operations, training, launch excellence, market insights, market access, compliance, medical, regulatory and legal) to ensure alignment and compliant execution--- Work with brand team on day-to-day management of agencies on assigned projects to ensure marketing direction is pulled through and project timelines are met Qualifications --- BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred)--- 10 years of progressively responsible experience within sales, marketing or other relevant commercial functions within the pharmaceutical industry required--- Experience in rare disease or specialty brands is preferred but not required--- Brand expansion experience and commercialization of new products strongly preferred--- Ability to establish a project vision, develop an action plan, engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders, work through obstacles and execute against the plan is critical--- Experience/exposure managing vendor partnerships is required--- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to achieve positive results is required--- Excellent written and communication skills are required--- Proven ability to influence without authority and work on cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of brand strategic imperatives Location: Cambridge, MA or Home-Based Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is an EEO employer committed to an exciting, diverse, and enriching work environment.
