The Role:
Join our growing Human Resources team and play a critical role in shaping our new hires' experience as they begin their Moderna journey. This position reports to the Vice President, Organization and Talent Development (OTD), and contributes critical support to onboarding new employees and building Moderna's unique culture.As Program Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end success of each new hire's experience. You'll be the face of the program, welcoming new hires on their first day, and running subsequent new hire orientation sessions, which occur throughout the new hire's first month and involve coordinating executive speakers, leading reinforcement activities, and helping to convey Moderna's unique culture to new hires.The position requires careful attention to detail and ability to focus on the logistics, coordination, and communication that ensures each new hire and all related stakeholders fully understand the process of successfully onboarding to Moderna.As the company continues to grow and evolve, this program will too. You will have the opportunity to shape and improve the program over time to incorporate important initiatives and growth stories that help to make Moderna a dynamic workplace. Finally, you'll serve as a "new hire concierge," helping new employees navigate our organization as they encounter common onboarding questions and challenges. Here's What You'll Do:

  • Own all communication and logistics of our Moderna ONE new hire onboarding program, including all administrative and participant-related tasks, such as: scheduling executive presenters, managing participant scheduling and attendance tracking, supporting facilitators during live orientation sessions, communicating with hiring managers and processing new hire paperwork.
  • Facilitate Moderna ONE sessions, introducing executive speakers, presenting onboarding content, engaging new hires through innovative digital collaboration tools, and ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for every new hire.
  • Build a sense of community among our new hire classes and ensure continuity of their onboarding experience throughout the journey - from offer acceptance, to pre-boarding, first day, and beyond.
  • Serve as primary touchpoint for orientation, communicating with new hires prior to their start date to provide clear expectations for day one.
  • Serve as a liaison between the new hires and a broad cross-functional team that supports new hires.
  • Coordinate with various outside vendors as necessary.
  • Manage the inventory of supplies for training-related programs.
  • Identify and coordinate automation and streamlining of existing processes with a focus on continuous improvement.Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
    • Minimum of BA/BS degree, with six years' professional experience
    • Four to five years of experience in a role that includes program management, coordination, and facilitation; new hire onboarding program management experience preferred
    • Comfortable with coordinating executive-level presenters and presenting in front of large audiences; technology fluent for seamless virtual facilitation
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel in a fast-paced, complex environment, including management of logistics and administration
    • High sense of urgency and problem-solving ability when faced with challenges
    • Ownership and pride in delivering high quality solutions for employees
    • High degree of flexibility, resilience, creativity, agility, and resourcefulness
    • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word
    • Experience with learning technologies is a plus - LMS, intranet, digital resources
