Musica Sacra, a choral chamber ensemble based in Cambridge, MA, seeks a part-time Executive Director (ED) to lead the organization as we move through these COVID times and into a post-pandemic performance world. The ideal candidate is passionate about the value of music, highly technologically literate, and enthusiastic about connecting with diverse communities, bringing both vision and operational skills to the position. Although not-for-profit and arts administration experience is preferable, we recognize that the right candidate may have transferable skills from other backgrounds. Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and working closely with the Artistic Director, the ED works an average of 20 hours per week, fewer from June-August and more during the concert season. The ED is responsible for managing the workload and corresponding hours. Day-to-day work will be conducted remotely. In-person duties include attendance at concerts, board meetings, fundraising events, and one Wednesday chorus rehearsal per month during the season (September-May). Salary is $30k, based on alignment with our core requirements, including but not limited to:

• proactive work ethic Responsibilities: Marketing and Development Create and implement an annual marketing and development plan. Work with the Development Committee to set goals, plan and implement fundraising events, recruit donors and manage stewardship and appeals. Maintain records and database. Research funding opportunities and develop grant proposals. Maintain social media presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and more. Collaborate with volunteer webmaster and graphic designer on website, season brochure, and other marketing and publicity materials, both print and digital. Finance and Governance Oversee day-to-day financial management, supervise part-time bookkeeper, and work with Board Treasurer and Artistic Director to develop annual budget-prior knowledge of or ability to learn Quickbooks is required. Collaborate with the Board on governance and strategic planning. Concerts and Outreach Act as the face of the organization, providing a welcoming presence at all of our concerts through audience interaction and public speaking. Oversee concert management, including ticketing, supervision of volunteer front-of-house staff, and digital streaming of virtual and live concerts. Actively pursue collaborations with outside artists and organizations. Explore and secure bookings at outside venues.
