In addition, we also value Ownership, Excellence and Collaboration and are looking for candidates who model those behaviors every day.Come be part of the future of gene-mediated immunotherapy advances.The National Account Director (NAD) is accountable for supporting FerGene product access and reimbursement with National and Regional commercial payers, government payers (Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DoD) as well as select Integrated Health Systems. The NAD will be responsible for positioning Adstiladrin with payers that supports clinically appropriate access and reimbursement. This individual will place themselves in a position to inform and educate the key decision makers related to: coverage and medical policy formation and implementation, , including but not limited to VP and Directors of Pharmacy, and Medical Directors.The NAD will collaborate extensively with many internal departments and functions; Patient Access Marketing, Sales, Access & Reimbursement, Marketing, Operations, Specialty Distribution/Pharmacy, Hub operations, Medical and HEOR to implement product access initiatives.The NAD has a dual responsibility: primary responsibility will focus on payer account management (CMS/MAC, State Medicaid, VA, national and regional private payers) secondary focus will be on reimbursement support. The NAD will be tasked with forming strong relationships with Adstiladrin key decision makers and working with these individuals to support clinically appropriate access and coverage/medical policies. NAD will analyze access and reimbursement issues, and act as the coverage policy/reimbursement expert/problem solver for field force, field access, regional and national leadership.Geography: Specific accounts located on the East Coast, from ME down through FL. Candidate must live near major metropolitan airport for efficient travel. States covered are subject to change based on account prioritization and workload.Account Responsibilities:* Obtain appropriate payer access by optimizing drug position, positively influencing medical coverage policies, PA development and timely reimbursement for Adstiladrin with targeted payers.* Establish high-level business relationships with key decision makers while navigating sensitive conversations related to access, cost and reimbursement with targeted accounts through:* Present compelling levels of data & value propositions to gain interest and traction;* Delivering analysis of scientific data, clinical practice goals, guidelines and anticipated economic outcomes as basis for ongoing payer-related efforts and interaction;* Engaging clinical expertise of Medical Liaisons in delivering comprehensive product and disease state presentations to key decision makers.* Develop business plans and present regular reviews including relevant payer trends, medical policies, utilization of pathways or guidelines specific to FerGene personnel* Identify and implement KOL advocates and pull-through activities with marketing, field reimbursement and sales* Coordinate closely with Patient Access Operations and Field Access & Reimbursement personnel to identify and resolve payer coverage and reimbursement issues* Participate in the design, development and execution of Patient Access marketing materials* Develop an effective communication plan to ensure that all FerGene sales and marketing staff are aware of key coverage and reimbursement issues across all payer segments* Drive product access and influence on inclusion in treatment algorithms/protocols and coverage policies* Role involves significant travel (up to approximately 70% of time). NADs will meet with payer customers, attend appropriate conferences, and is expected to travel in the field with access and reimbursement personnel for key eventsQualifications:* Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, relatable fields and progressive experience of which at least five years are in Managed Care National Account Management; equivalent combinations of advanced degree(s) with related work experience may be considered* Experience with launch of new therapies, specifically physician administered drugs and cold chain therapies* Existing director and executive level relationships with key personnel at Aetna and Humana and other National plans, strongly preferred* Located in geographical area advantageous to efficient travel to key accounts in assigned geography, preferred* Excellent business writing and presentation skills* Strong negotiating/influencing skills* Team orientation and solution-oriented approach* Strong written and oral communication skills* Accomplished presenter with experience presenting to large groups and senior executives* History of building strategic relationships with key medical, pharmacy and policy personnel in the payer community* Experience utilizing health economic models in delivering key access messaging* Understanding of national and state legislative, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DOD/IHS and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.* Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in payer pharmacy and medical policy, including all elements of reimbursement (coding, coverage and payment)* The ideal candidate has worked in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize business needs, solve complex problems, develop strong customer relationships, and motivate others to take appropriate action to move cases forward.
