Our SER-109 program achieved the first-ever positive pivotal clinical results for a targeted microbiome drug candidate and has obtained Breakthrough Therapy and Orphan Drug designations from the FDA. The SER-109 program is being advanced for the treatment of recurrent C. difficile infection and has potential to become a first-in-class FDA-approved microbiome therapeutic. Reporting to the Vice President Market Access you will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial access and payer messaging, and strategies and tactics that support the emerging portfolio of products from Seres Therapeutics, the leading microbiome company . Seres and the role will be based in Cambridge, MA. What You'll Do

  • Lead marketing efforts around overall access programs, reimbursement environment, and payer materials working closely with Brand Marketing, as appropriate.
  • Work cross-functionally within Commercial and with other Seres team members to ensure the access and payer story is incorporated into the overall brand essence
  • Ensure strong command of (1) payer market landscape and customer needs, and (2) the overall access landscape to develop impactful customer-centric strategies and tactics
  • Lead implementation of tactics with a sense of urgency to deliver high quality deliverables that drive desired customer action
  • Lead annual strategic brand plan and budget process for payer customer segment and access programs overall; ensure alignment with overall brand strategy and priorities
  • Lead and foster collaboration with other commercial team members (marketing, sales, analytics, market access, medical affairs, etc.) to develop and execute access and payer programs and materials to support best-in-class launch(es) of Seres' products
  • Work with Brand Marketing to ensure the access and payer story is included in speaker programs to support field sales efforts
  • Work with HEOR consultants and colleagues across Seres to develop an impactful payer value proposition for use with appropriate stakeholders in the marketplace.
  • Lead marketing efforts to support product distribution model and related services
  • Manage advertising agency and other vendors in development of promotional materials and tactics for the access and payer related items.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with field teams and their leadership
  • Support field force training initiatives, as needed
  • Manage all projects within budget and timelines
  • Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, stakeholders and customers
  • Identify operational issues and problem solve
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations What You'll Bring
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
    • 8+ years of broad experience in commercial roles with demonstrated progression in marketing; experience should include -3+ years supporting Access and/or Payer Marketing
    • Proven success leading access and payer marketing initiatives for recent launch brands, including the development of a value proposition, access materials for field and account management use, and materials to build the momentum around a successful launch
    • Recent US launch experience
    • Resourceful, f lexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to effectively deal with ambiguity
    • Possesses a good blend of strategic and operational experience with the ability to see the big picture and strong attention to detail
    • Experience developing and executing strong strategic plans to support rapid adoption and growth; track record of driving brand performance; Able to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise language, understandable by all audiences, both verbally and in writing; strong writing skills
    • Demonstrated experience using innovative digital channels and platforms for communications.
    • Thinks strategically, prioritizes effectively and delivers high-impact results
    • Collaborative leadership skills to influence without authority and work effectively with senior leadership
    • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with stakeholders; demonstrates the ability to resolve conflict in a constructive manner, lead without authority, and gain alignment to move projects forward
    • Ability to seek diverse input from multiple constituents and stakeholders to drive decisions and innovative solutions
    • Fit with Seres culture and values, especially encouraging candidates with diverse backgrounds and those who are inclined to listen as much as they are to decide/lead.
