Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced, driven, high energy, detail oriented and driven Human Resources Director to help continue to raise the bar for Genocea?s amazing culture.--This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of the following HR Programs: Compensation Analysis, Benefits, Policies & Procedures, HRIS and Legal Compliance.--In addition, will assist in driving HR process optimization and leverage our HR systems to provide insights for scaling up our organization.-- Primary Responsibilities Lead all aspects of employee compensation. Develop and continuously improve incentive plan design(s) that best fit with the organizational culture, priorities and business model. Ensuring total compensation package is benchmarked to the industry. Participate in the process for year-end review for promotions, merit increases and equity administration. Ensure compensation compliance activities are completed and processes and tools are effective and streamlined.-- Routinely assess cost effective, competitive, benefits position relative to the market.-- Responsible for the plan documents, plan design, implementation, administration and compliance of equity programs, including the company?s Employee Stock Purchase and 401K Programs in alignment with our core total rewards principles.-- Recommend and implement changes to current plans and policies to stay current with laws, trends and competitors. Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process, including partnering and negotiating with external vendors, preparing communications for employees, and working with the HR team to ensure employees are well informed and engaged. Develop, implement and maintain the human resource information systems (HRIS) ADP WorkforceNow Coordinate and deploy end-user training on new systems and/or upgrades Work closely with HR and leadership teams to provide analytics to support strategic decision making Manage and track HR metrics and produce reports as necessary Assist the Vice President of Human Resources with creation and communication of various programs including performance management, coaching conversations, employee and leadership development, compensation planning, employee engagement, rewards and recognition and culture building activities Collaborate with HR Team on Recruitment and Retention, Employee Relations, Culture, Training, and Performance Management Participate in developing HR department goals, objectives, and systems Experience & Qualifications Bachelor?s Degree required with 10+ years of HR experience.-- HR Certification (SPHR, HRCI) preferred Experience in a fast-growing, dynamic organization - biotechnology experience preferred Knowledge of integrated HRIS/Payroll/Benefit system (ADP WorkforceNow desirable) Understanding of the FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ACA, compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other relevant laws is desirable, demonstrated ability to research and understand compliance requirements is a must Experience working a public company and familiarity with SOX compliances Proficient in general HR concepts including Full Employee Lifecycle, Talent Management, Total Rewards including Compensation and Benefits, etc. Proficiency on Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Core Competencies Must have strong leadership and management partnering skills Energetic can-do attitude committed to continuous improvement Highly respected and approachable with a one-team mentality Assertive, results- and success-oriented self-starter who has the stature, presence and credentials to operate effectively across the organization The candidate must demonstrate the enthusiasm, relationships, influencing skills, presence, and the confidence necessary to secure commitment and to lead the implementation of sophisticated programs and activities Ability to be agile, tenacious and maintain a sense of humor
