The program manager will also be responsible for leveraging other key technology development areas across the DoD and Draper. The candidate will be required to work with cross functional development teams to conceptualize and architect next generation systems utilizing the enabling technologies. The Program manager will lead all aspects of development including, roadmap development, conceptual design, simulation, prototyping, testing, insertion, and risk mitigation to achieve technology implementation.

The program manager will work closely with talented, cross-functional, engineering teams and subject matter experts to communicate Draper's technical capabilities and strategic planning to senior leadership, customers, and industry partners. The program manager will be responsible for managing multiple programs and developing appropriate development plans for technology insertion into existing and future systems, including by means of novel demonstrations. The program manager will manage the multidisciplinary teams to meet program schedule, cost and technical objectives; balancing cutting-edge developments with critical timelines and operational use-cases. The program manager will need to partake in collaborative brainstorming and strategic planning across Draper, industry and government.Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in relevant technical field or industry
  • Education: PhD, MS, MBA, or Equivalent
  • Extensive background/experience in strategic sensor development including an understanding of MEMS, electro-optical and electro-mechanical technologies.
  • Experience managing DoD programs and establishing strategic direction with internal senior leadership and government stakeholders
  • Experience leading GN&C programs taking products from initial concept to operational demonstration
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to key stakeholders that effectively communicate key findings and summarize insights and implications to future work or business
  • Ability to manage complex projects:

    • Organized, detail-oriented, structured thinking and execution
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed in order to meet deadlines
    • High level of independent judgment and proactivity

      Security Requirement:

      • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security Government security clearance requires proof of US citizenship.
      • Top Secret Clearance preferred.
