Job Description Job Description Job Title: Assembly Operator Job Description Make sub-assemblies consisting of printed circuit boards with applicable components. Assemble completed electro-mechanical units utilizing sub-assemblies, air tools, and miscellaneous parts. Responsibilities Assemble printed circuit boards by inserting applicable components in a through-hole fashion utilizing specific work instructions, procedures, and various hand and air tools. Install sub-assemblies and miscellaneous hardware into specific unit enclosures at a final assembly level using specific work instructions, procedures, and various hand and air tools. Conduct electrical function tests at the printed circuit board and final assembly level using test fixtures provided by electrical engineering. Perform other duties as required, such as packing. Essential Skills Minimum 4 months of production work experience. Ability to lift up to 26 lbs. Ability to stand at a workstation for 8 hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications Assembler experience is a plus. High School Diploma/GED. Electro-mechanical aptitude is desirable. Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams to achieve department/production goals. Strive for continuous process improvement in daily activities. The basic production work area has tight quarters, requiring eye protection and protective shoes. No loose clothing is allowed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kingstown, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
