Started in 2010, StreetLight is the industry leader in
transportation analytics derived from Big Data, providing public
and private organizations robust tools to analyze travel patterns.
Recently, StreetLight has expanded its product portfolio to include
"Mobility Data Solutions" - a product designed for highly technical
customers who are capable of processing huge amounts of data
themselves. Working with a Mobility Data Solutions customer
involves implementing data delivery pipelines that deliver enormous
amounts of data, often in real time.
As a key member of this team, the Implementation Engineer role will
work closely with sales, engineering, product, and customers to
ensure our clients are successful in gaining access to and
maximizing the value of StreetLight's Mobility Data Solutions. The
position will play a key role in pre-sales technical qualification,
post-sales scheduling and managing meetings, and collaborating with
engineering and support teams to manage implementation for each
client. In addition, this role will help to continuously improve
the implementation processes and provide customer feedback to
improve the products. Finally - this person may project manage
other specialty implementations of StreetLight Data products to
other highly technical clients. This position reports to the lead
Solutions Architect in the Services Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in pre-sales technical qualification and scoping for
Mobility Data Solutions customers.
Manage and track customer implementation. Communicate regularly
with internal technical teams and customer stakeholders on project
deliveries, technical issues, and changes in scope.
Provide advanced technical support for customers, including
troubleshooting cloud connectivity, diagnosing feed and performance
issues, big data database management and archiving mechanisms.
Collaborate with members of Advanced Research, Data Science,
Engineering, Support, Customer Care, and Product as required to
manage customer needs.
Occasional travel to other StreetLight Data and customer
offices.
Here's what you'll need:
Skills and Qualifications:
MS degree required in Engineering, Computer Science, or Data
Science.
2 years' experience working across GCP, Azure, and Amazon cloud
services, including familiarity with access management and security
standards.
2 years' experience delivering both Realtime and Batch processing
services. Working with data scales on the order of 10-100TB a
plus.
Experience with system integration technologies such as ETL
(Informatica, Talend, SnapLogic, etc.) or Message Bus systems
(MuleSoft, Tibco, IBM, etc.).
Experience with Excel, SQL, and comfortable working with data,
identifying patterns and data manipulation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many tasks
at the same time.
Project management skills with experience working with different
stakeholders.
Experienced in tracking projects with project management
software.
Quick learner with problem-solving abilities and a strong
understanding of user needs.
Excellent written as well as verbal communication skills - this job
requires writing technical guides to inform product users and
regular communication with customers via email and phone.
Experience working with transportation software and data venders is
a plus.
Experience working in transportation engineering/consulting,
transportation agencies, or urban planning is a plus.
Experience with geospatial tools (such as QGIS or ArcGIS) and
statistics is a plus.
This role pays $135,000-$165,000 a year.

The salary range for this position is $135,000-$165,000. This range
reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for
the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual
pay is determined by work location and additional factors,
including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or
training.
