+ Respond to, and fully support, production by ensuring all
sub-tier suppliers meet requirements.
+ Works closely with critical suppliers to review and implement
statistical analysis performance of the supplier.
+ Technical lead in identifying, developing, and approving results
of any required supplier validation and re-validation protocols on
new or changed supplier processes/products.
+ Technical lead in the identification, development, and
qualification of suppliers
+ Manages the early involvement of suppliers in new product
development and product/component improvement. Performs quality
audits, re-audits and performance management at suppliers.
+ Conduct supplier audits of Implemented Corrective Actions Plans,
quality systems and overall operations.
+ Works collaboratively with design engineering and production to
qualify new parts/products to meet mission requirements.
+ Proactively works with suppliers to minimize and/or eliminate
quality/performance issues.
+ Utilizes analytical skill sets to implement root cause analysis
and provide recommendations for corrective action.
+ Works closely with critical suppliers to establish and monitor
the Supplier Quality Related KPIs.
+ Optimizes Process Capability on critical characteristics at the
supply base through effective application of statistical analysis
techniques and Problem-Solving.
+ Analyzes trends in product/process performance from new product
development through service, coordinating any required root cause
analysis and corrective action associated with suppliers.
+ Assists in the review and disposition of non-conforming material
received from suppliers.
+ Support Failure Review Board (FRB) and Material Review Board
(MRB) activities as required.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering degree.
+ Minimum of 15 years of experience in Systems Engineering,
Quality, and/or Component Engineering,
+ Expertise in state of the art semiconductor manufacturing
processes
+ Working knowledge of parts level Mil Specs
+ Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and Supply Chain
Management.
+ Experience with quality management systems (ISO9001; AS9100)
+ Experience with devising and implementing part/product
qualification tests/activities
+ Experience with Design for Assembly & Manufacturing, reverse
engineering and/ or other Value Engineering tools
+ Thorough understanding of best manufacturing process, DOE,
process/device/design interaction
+ Expert knowledge and skills in process integration, device
physics and design rules
+ Maintaining an ASQ certification as a Quality Engineer, Six Sigma
Green Belt, or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
+ Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with
manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and supplier personnel.
+ Must possess strong organizational skills.
+ Excellent written and oral communication, in English.
