Breakdowns in the chromatin regulatory system lead to a wide range of diseases, including cancer, impacting millions of people.Our proprietary Gene Traffic Control platform is a powerful tool for understanding and modulating the chromatin regulatory system. We are pursuing multiple treatments for breakdowns in this system. We are the only company with the ability to study and target the chromatin regulatory system at scale, in context, and in an integrated way.The Role:

We are seeking a Research Informatics professional to join our passionate team of scientists. You will help tackle complex data management for all of research. Your role will also involve aspects of project management, infrastructure, assay development and analysis, automation, and business strategy. Successful candidates should be scientifically motivated self-starters, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and excited to use new technology to make scientists more efficient. This role is hands-on, with responsibilities to act across multiple functions / departments. The successful candidate will have the ability to talk and listen at a high level, while also being capable of doing the detailed work in the background.

In This Role, Youll Get To:

  • Design, create, and maintain data management workflows
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of assay protocols to allow scientists to properly analyze and report data to downstream systems and groups
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of laboratory automation as it pertains to integration with data systems in the research and development environment
  • Working with scientists and vendors to plan, design, and implement data systems and integrate into Foghorns scientific data environment
  • Cultivate a data-centric company philosophy by creating best practices for data management and infrastructure
  • Work closely with an entrepreneurial, highly-collaborative, interdisciplinary team and actively contribute to creating, shaping, and executing the scientific and strategic vision of the company
  • Balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.RequirementsAbout you:
    • A degree in informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years experience in biotech or pharmaceutical development.
    • Familiarity with how data is generated and reported in a biotech / pharmaceutical environment.
    • Strong Understanding of IT concepts and architecture
    • Familiarity with databases and SQL
    • A strong self-starter, independent thinker, with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner
    • Confident, execution focused, team-oriented with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment Additional Preferred Qualifications
      • Strong programming skills in a language such as Python or C#
