We are developing biomedical optical imaging and medical robotics technologies and seeking an Associate Test Engineer (Assoc Engineer) to join our talented team in Cambridge, MA. With several version 1.0 projects heading for FDA submission, this is an exciting time to be part of our growth and success! This Medical Device Test Engineerdesigns, delivers, and supports test solutions for a wide range of innovative medical electronics-based products. - Execute and Document test protocols and report results- Work with development engineers to help drive testability into the product- Identifies multiple solutions and determines best approach to solve complex test automation opportunities with systems and software- Executes test protocols, test cases, test scripts and scenarios and log/follow-up on defects- Participate in improving test engineering best practices, tools, infrastructures and processesThis position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office three days per week and an option to work from home two days per week. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities- Review and refine requirements to ensure testability- Writes test protocols, procedures, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios- Design and Implement appropriate test tools, test harnesses and test automation tools- Test reports and summaries- Designs, codes, and tests, test automation software for cross-functional systems and sub-systems- Designing, developing and debugging dedicated test hardware QualificationsPlease note: We comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, orders and mandates, including those we may be required to follow as a federal government contractor/subcontractor.- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or Biomedical Engineering required- 0-2 years of hands-on experience with test definition and procedures- Knowledge of IEC 60601-1, 3.1 edition Safety and Essential performance and IEC60601-1-2 4th edition Electromagnetic disturbances a plus- Medical Device experience preferredThe company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
