Director / Senior Director, HCP Marketing, Pulmonary - US We are
seeking a strategic and passionate individual who excels in
building brands and teams in order to meet the needs of patients
living with challenging health care conditions. Reporting to the
Head of US Marketing, the Director / Senior Director for HCP
Marketing will play a critical role in helping to shape the launch
of sotatercept in PAH in the US. As a critical member of the
Acceleron US commercial organization, the Director / Senior
Director for HCP Marketing will lead the strategic planning and
execution of Acceleron's efforts to educate and engage HCPs who
treat PAH patients. The Director / Senior Director's ultimate goal
is to ensure that Acceleron's launch of sotatercept in PAH
addresses the unmet needs of US PAH patients and creates values for
patients and Acceleron. What will you be doing?
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute HCP strategic plan to
support the launch of sotatercept in PAH in the United States
- Brand Planning: Play a critical role in shaping US Brand
Strategy, identifying key intervention points for the brand and
rallying the organization to deliver against that plan.
- Communications Platform: Translate HCP and market insights into
actionable strategies and a communications platform to activate,
educate and support US HCPs.
- HCP Engagement Strategy: Develop and execute HCP engagement
programs to drive belief and behavior shifts; Develop and implement
innovative media strategies to support brand objectives.
- Field Support: Serve as the primary point of contact to partner
with field leadership on sales strategy, and work closely with the
field sales team to develop and deliver programs and tactics to
educate and support HCPs.
- Peer to Peer Strategy and Programs: Shape the company's
strategy to leverage KOL influence in a comprehensive peer to peer
program, including traditional programs such as Speakers Bureau and
more innovative, digital strategies.
- Leadership: This position will likely oversee direct reports as
the team grows, and will help shape Acceleron's US Commercial Team.
As such, this position will help shape Acceleron's HCP marketing
capabilities and will be accountable to build, lead and manage a
best-in-class HCP marketing team.
- Leading on Innovation: Identify and incorporate innovative
strategies, programs and tactics that leverage advancements in
technology, media and communications to help sotatercept deliver on
its brand promise. What are we looking for?
- At least 8 years of marketing experience in the
biotech/pharma/life sciences sector or in consumer health, with at
least 5 years of consumer marketing experience. We are open to
individuals with deep consumer marketing experience in adjacent
categories (ie consumer health).
- At least 15 years of biotech and commercial experience
(marketing, sales, market access, patient advocacy, advertising
agency, consumer health) in the biotech/pharma/life sciences
- Strong preference for candidates with sales and/or field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience is rare/orphan disease is strongly preferred.
Experience designing and supporting patient support programs / HUBs
- Experience in pulmonary / cardiology is preferred but not
- Launch Experience is required, with a strong preference for
someone who has developed and executed HCP campaigns
- Ability to demonstrate leadership on key marketing
competencies: Strategic Agility, Influence Without Authority,
Decision-Making, Trust and Teamwork, Analytical and Critical
- Must demonstrate a true passion for the patient, and is able to
rally an organization around meeting the needs of consumers /
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to
articulate commercial perspective in a cross-functional
- Ability to work collaboratively with others across all
functions and levels within the organization
- Excellent organizational skills, follow-through and comfort
with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with changing

launch of sotatercept in PAH, a treatment that could become the
