The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the biotech and/or life sciences industry, as well as experience being a CPA, and having experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm, SEC filings, 10K and 10Q preparation, US GAAP, NetSuite, and Coupa. • Room for growthJob DetailsResponsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and SEC filings, including 10K and 10Q reports
  • Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and strategic initiatives
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement processes using Coupa and other systems
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as neededQualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
    • Experience working at a Big 4 or Large Public Accounting Firm
    • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on the biotech and life sciences industry
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and accounting principles
    • Experience with NetSuite and Coupa strongly preferred
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands
