Description of Service Opportunity:

CPS Facilities management is looking for a motivated individual to collect water samples at various schools for lead testing. A person in this position must have its own transportation and the ability to start work at 6am. Samples must be collected before students arrive for school. Once collected and labeled correctly, they need to be dropped off at the Cambridge Water department for testing. At that time, new containers will be picked up for sample collection the next day. Samples can only be obtained Tuesday through Friday from 6am to 9am. After collection, they must be immediately dropped off at the Water department. Water sample chain of custody must be maintained throughout the process.

Minimum Requirements/Job Qualifications:

Previous water sample collection or similar is preferred. Access to transportation, ability to transport samples from schools to the water department in a timely manner. Ability to climb stairs, open and lock doors, communicate effectively via email, phone and text is essential.

Length of Contract:

April 10, 2023 through June 23, 2023

Contract Amount:

$25.00 per hour, Not to exceed $1,500.00
