We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our UK team.Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Assistant Controller will work in the Group's International Controllership function with specific responsibilities for our four UK legal entities.You will be accountable for the effective and timely delivery of the monthly close activities and supporting the associated reporting for the relevant business groups, assisting with the production and submission of local statutory and compliance requirements, and meeting the quarterly reporting requirements for the Clarivate Group. The Finance Controller will provide support and control of the business units' balance sheets and ensure that the financial statements reflect local and international standards as well as complying with the Sarbanes Oxley recommendations.This is an amazing opportunity for someone with exceptional relationship building skills, as you will be working cross functionally with business finance, corporate functions, internal & external audit, and within the shared service centre community.If you have financial and management accounting experience, we would love to speak with you. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Part qualified accountant or finalist in ACCA, CIMA or ICAEWSolid financial and management accounting background It would be great if you also had . . Comprehensive knowledge of UK GAAP and preparation of UK statutory accountsWorking knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS desirableKnowledge of End-to-end accounting processAdvanced Excel skillsPrior experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle NetSuite experience preferred. What will you be doing in this role? Support the Financial controller through the statutory audit process for the UK companies.Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Support the delivery of the monthly close activities for each company under remit.Balance sheet and P&L monthly flux analysisMaintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.Support the controllership of balance sheet accounts for all companies within remit, providing guidance on key issues and resolution to problem items in accordance with corporate SOX guidelines.Support monthly tax compliance and filings.Manage ad hoc projects. About the Team The role reports to the UK Financial Controller and is based in the Cambridge region. We are a team of 5 colleagues based in the UK. The global finance function continues to develop as the group integrates recently acquired companies. Hours of Work This is a full-time permanent position based in Cambridge, UK and will require hybrid working in our Cambridge office (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote).This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
