(HHR) is seeking a -Director of -Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations
-to establish the strategic framework for and oversee all
recruitment related platforms, systems, operations and metrics that
sustain and enable the Talent Acquisition function. The ideal
candidate is keenly focused on consistency, process efficiency,
tools and technology and compliance while ensuring an optimal user
experience for candidates, hiring managers and recruiters.
This is a newly created role on the Talent Acquisition leadership
team, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Talent
Acquisition & Outreach. The person who will be successful in this
role will have a data-driven mindset combined with the ability to
build strong relationships across the university while working
collaboratively with key stakeholders, partners and peers to drive
results.
As a key player-coach, the Director of -Talent Acquisition (TA)
Operations will assist in driving best practice across the
recruitment lifecycle. In this role, you will design, implement and
analyze recruiting processes, practices, programs, tools, templates
and systems - optimizing how talent acquisition operates. This
person puts experience, efficiency and innovation at the heart of
their strategy to achieve operational excellence.
In This Role, you will:
- Support and drive a consistent end to end recruiting process
via the systems and tools utilized by the CADM recruiting team
- Develop and execute the roadmap to increased consistency and
efficiency within the talent acquisition function through process
improvement, training and special projects
- Operate as a strategic thought partner to both recruiting and
HR leadership across CADM
- Provide leadership, support and advocacy to recruiters and
support staff who provide recruiting support
- Manage TA related technologies and third-party vendors,
including the applicant tracking system, the career site (Harvard
Careers), the MSP partner for contract resources, job boards and
other supporting systems and tools
- Evaluate and implement new tools that can be leveraged by the
recruiting team
- Develop consistent job description templates and audit existing
postings to ensure consistent language and content is on brand
- Proactively research and identify emerging recruiting trends
through reporting and analysis, ultimately leading to new solutions
and practices
- Manage and oversee talent acquisition coordinator/operational
activities such as interview scheduling and coordination
- Partner with teams to develop and execute creative ways to
build robust pipelines of top talent through strategic, systematic,
measured, and customized sourcing efforts
- Drive a culture of constant improvement, identifying and
implementing strategies and processes to increase CADM wide
recruiting effectiveness and efficiency
- Lead communications and change management to ensure a
successful launch and adoption of new tools, technology and/or
process changes
- Drive and amplify diversity recruiting strategies and
methodologies across the broader TA organization supporting CADM
units
- Work in close partnership with CADM HR Consulting to stay up to
date on policy change and updates as well as employment laws that
affect the talent acquisition team
- Work closely with HR Consulting and senior HR management to
identify necessary organizational and workflow changes to help
promote compliance and operational efficienciesBasic Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant work experience
- Supervisory experienceAdditional Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years talent acquisition or HR related experience
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws and other applicable
federal, state, and local regulations
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence at all
levels
- Ability to build working relationships with internal and
external stakeholders and be recognized as a trusted advisor in all
recruitment matters
- Ability to manage immediate priorities while anticipating
future needs
- Strong team player who emphasizes team success over individual
success
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and

skillsWorking ConditionsHarvard Human Resources actively supports
hybrid work where business and team needs allow. This is a five day
per week position with a hybrid schedule. -Additional detail
pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview
process. All remote work must be performed in a state in which
Harvard is registered to do business (CA, CT, GA, MA, MD, ME, IL,
NH, NY, RI, VA, VT, WA) The position may involve periodic
business-related travel to local or domestic destinations, and it
is essential that the successful candidate is willing and able to
travel as required.
- Paid Time Off: 3-4 weeks of accrued vacation time per year (3
weeks for support staff and 4 weeks for administrative/professional
staff), 12 accrued sick days per year, 12.5 holidays plus a Winter
Recess in December/January, 3 personal days per year (prorated
based on date of hire), and up to 12 weeks of paid leave for new
parents who are primary care givers.
