We're truly a global team, with colleagues across the world.About the RoleIn this role, you will build and maintain an in-depth understanding of the market and a network of relevant contacts. You will also create an approved publication strategy for acquiring, developing and publishing commercially attractive new and revised print and electronic titles.Responsibilities--- Prospect, develop, and acquire 30-40 book projects per year in Chemical Engineering---Negotiate contracts with authors, editors, partners and other parties---Understand customer needs to develop more innovative processes and products---Maintain successful relationships with authors and editors and ensure author queries and concerns are appropriately handled---Execute a 5-year publication strategy based on data and analytics that supports the overarching Editorial Team growth/investment strategy--- Deliver -on time and on budget publication of forthcoming titles while ensuring high quality content--- Work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues in Editorial, Production, Journals, -Marketing, Sales, Royalties, Contracts, Finance, and Publishing Support--- --- --- --- --- ---Requirements--- Strategic planning, market research and awareness, content acquisition , author management--- Knowledge of acquisitions, publishing and production processes/financial modeling--- Ability to partner with stakeholders in production, marketing, sales and editorial across lists, teams and locations--- Excellent self-motivation, written/verbal communication, negotiation and people skillsJob Posting DetailsFlexible Working We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
