Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist will work with Finance and Human Resources to support our rapidly growing team. This is an opportunity for a candidate who is engaged and looking to make an impact on processes and procedures. The candidate will bring payroll experience with a focus on process improvement.

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing timely and accurate semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls. The candidate for this position will need to have attention to detail, knowledge of State and Federal wage and hour laws, and be customer service focused. This position will report to our Senior Manager, Payroll.

Responsibilities:

* Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls (in addition to off cycle payrolls).
* Ensure accuracy of payroll wages, tax, and benefit withholdings.
* Review, audit and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission.
* Establish a working relationship with our ADP payroll vendor.
* Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams with onboarding and offboarding activities.
* Validate data in ADP Workforce Now.
* Assist employees with payroll questions and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner.
* Develop and implement payroll procedures via improvements or changes when deemed necessary for greater efficiency.
* Assist with Month End close activities.
* Other related tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
* 2-3 years of prior payroll experience.
* Understanding of payroll processes and compliance.
* Experience with multistate payroll taxes at Federal, State and Local levels.
* Knowledge of Equity transactions related to payroll.
* Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Ability to review own work for quality and completeness.
* Ability to work well under pressure with strict timelines.
* Diligence and ability to multi-task.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Must be a collaborator with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
