Job Description:
Job Summary/Description: The Controller leads the accounting
activities, including maintaining the books and records of the
Company, the Company---s financial systems, internal and external
reporting, AP, AR, purchasing, payroll, taxes, and leads the annual
audits. Provides technical accounting leadership and collaborates
productively with the Company---s auditors, the Audit Committee of
the Board of Directors, and key Business Leads within the
Organization. Manages and executes the entire range of tasks
required to support the Company---s financial functions, on a
risk-based approach to ensure compliance with regulations and
standards. Presents financial and operational information to a
variety of audiences including employees, the finance community,
Board Members, the VP and CFO, and the CEO. Position Specific
Responsibilities: Guide financial decisions by applying company
policies and procedures to current economic landscape. Manage and
monitor all accounts payable/receivable, ledgers, and reporting
systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards,
regulatory requirements, and requirements of loans, contracts,
licenses, and other agreements. Maintain internal control
safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and
team/organizational budgets and actual expenditures. Develop and
enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets,
policies, procedures, and workflow. Implement consistent accounting
policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding
federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining
knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation. Provide
comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating,
analyzing, and reporting appropriate data and conclusions. Develop,
implement, and maintain financial controls, guidelines, and
processes. In conjunction with the Company---s leadership team,
establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program
monitoring, and reporting standards on at least a monthly,
quarterly, and annual basis. Collaborate with team to develop and
support short and long-term operational strategies. Achieve
budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective
action. Manage and optimize payroll processes and systems. Oversee
financial systems and upgrades
