Job Description:

The Human Resources Operations Manager will be a key member of a dynamic HR team.--You are the type of person who values order while being able to problem-solve with the best of them. You will use your technology acumen and generalist experience to enhance our HR solutions, contribute to our benefits and compensation process, and ensure compliance to drive excellence across our growing organization. Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrating with our innovative HR department, this individual will be responsible for managing Human Resources processes including Benefits and Leave Management, Performance and Compensation; Compliance and administration of Syros' HRIS and other HR technology solutions.Work alongside the HR Manager (Talent, Learning and Development) on several initiatives* Prepare training program calendar to ensure coordination of required programs* Build compelling offers for incoming Syrosians* Communicate revised or new programs and initiatives for the Syros audience* Support annual business planning and make recommendations for improvementsCompensation & Benefits* Review and administer--the Syros' compensation program to include bonus programs and pay equity;--make recommendations to the leadership that improve the Company's compensation policies,--procedures--and practices* Participate in annual benchmarking surveys and industry studies to ensure competitive pay practices* Keep up to date on market competitive compensation practices and conduct semi-annual alignment analysis* Prepare background reports for Board Compensation Committee Meetings* Manage employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision plans; 401(k) plan;--life insurance plans; leave and disability programs; and wellness program* Ensure Syros benefits remain competitive by benchmarking Company benefits with market* Coordinate with insurance carriers--and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect approved changes in benefits programs. Ensure prompt and accurate compliance.* Prepare, with legal consultation, benefits documentation, such as original and amended plan documents, benefit agreements and insurance policies* Coordinate and administer leave policies to ensure complianceReporting & Compliance* Develop, communicate, and enforce controls and procedures to ensure Syros' compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including:--Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act. Prepare/review prepared reports and filings required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies* Develop reporting and/or dashboards that deliver meaningful analytics to the HR team and key business stakeholders to effectively evaluate organizational key metrics, including leadership, DE&I committee leadership, auditors, etc.* Lead the annual review and update of Syros' employee handbookHR Systems* Conduct due diligence reviews with all third-party vendors as needed* Act as lead contact and administrator for Syros Human Resources Information System (HRIS)* Integrate performance program and goal tracking into HRIS platform* Maintain HR content on Syros intranet (SharePoint based)* Ensure HR technology platforms are being used in a manner that drives value* Responsible for managing HR Systems budget* Propose and project manage roll-out of new components to HRIS, career pathways software and intranetSuccess Factors* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Project management skills and principles, including scope, schedule, and resource management* Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills* A sense of urgency and an ability to anticipate and respond quickly to emerging information* Entrepreneurial and passionate; enjoys working in a fast-paced, small-company environment* Willingness to work collaboratively to develop and execute on plans* Proactively seeks out, recommends, and executes process improvements* Resourcefully, creatively, and enthusiastically solves problems* Acts with integrity and respect at all timesJob Requirements* BS or MS Degree* At least 5 years of experience in the HR discipline as a generalist, with a minimum of 2 years in Compensation* PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred* Prior experience supporting regulatory requirements in a public company* Excellent analytical skills with ability to identify and implement process improvements * Ability to create collaborative--partnerships--based on trust,--confidence--and respect--throughout the organization * Effective at--communicating organizational change--and anticipating future--needs* Establish a high expectation for integrity, ensuring decisions reflect values and commitment of the Company * Emotionally intelligent with the ability to maintain balanced emotions in all situations * Adaptable,--flexible--and willing to be open minded to alternative options/ideas * Comfortable moving--between tactile and--hands-on--work with project management--responsibilities* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines * Proven track record of successful system implementation with organizational adoption* Technical agility and experience with multiple platforms including ADP WorkforceNow; SharePoint; E*TradeFinally, the candidate will need to embrace our values:As one team, strengthened by our diversity, we:* Value each day of patients' lives* Operate with integrity and respect* Inspire excellence in all* Communicate transparently* Embrace big challengesEEO Statement.Syros Pharmaceuticals Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
