Job Description:

Position: Principal Technical Product Manager, Platform (Cambridge, MA)

Duties: Plan, direct, and coordinate the development and delivery of

services and tools for Nuance’s speech and natural language products.

Review product development processes and roadmaps, and define product

strategy and performance goals for technical innovation projects. Manage

the development and launch of various natural language technical products

including, application programming interfaces (APIs), software development

kits (SDKs), and other programming tools. Manage product issues, business

requirements, and deliver innovative solutions for natural language

technology programs. Provide technical guidance in software design and

development activities. Manage all phases of the software development life

cycle, and manage the analysis of systems flow, data usage, and work

processes. Conduct risk assessment and mitigation activities. Evaluate

existing speech and natural language products in order to recommend changes

in policies and procedures.

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer

Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and

three (3) years of experience architecting developer tools, Web Services

(REST), front-end web components, and mobile SDK APIs; or in the

alternative, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer

Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and

five (5) years of experience as indicated above.

Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): building prototypes,

demonstrating code, and evangelizing APIs and SDKs using common editors

including SublimeText and TextMate, and IDEs including Eclipse, Intelli J,

Xcode, and PyCharm; DE using command line interfaces and SCM tools

including Git with SourceTree and Apache Subversion; DE providing usage

data and insights into trends constructing internal analytics and using

third party tools Google Analytics and Localytics; and DE leveraging

project tracking tools, including JIRA and Trello.
